  • Publication number: 20240072518
Abstract: A light emitting device has a first mirror; and one or more active regions with a first active region adjacent to the first mirror. Each of active region includes quantum wells and barriers, and is surrounded by one or more p-n junctions. The active regions have a selected shape structure each with a tunnel junction (TJ). One or more apertures are provided with the selected shape structure; one or more buried tunnel junctions (BTJ), additional TJ's, planar structures and/or additional BTJ's, created during a regrowth process that is independent of a first growth process of the first mirror as well as the active region and the one or more TJs. One or more electrical confinement apertures are defined by the one or more BTJ's, additional TJ's, planar structures and/or additional BTJ's. A vertical resonator cavity is disposed over the electrical confinement aperture. A high contrast grating (HCG) operates as a second mirror positioned over the vertical resonator cavity.

  • Patent number: 11625440
Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to taxonomies. More particularly, techniques are described for receiving a taxonomy as input, automatically generating data structures representing the taxonomy, determining content that is relevant to different concepts of the taxonomy, and generating an interface that enables users to access and navigate through the taxonomy-related content. The taxonomy specification may specify a taxonomy for a domain including various concepts related to the domain and hierarchical relationships between the concepts. Based on the taxonomy specification, a taxonomy structure may be generated for the taxonomy, the taxonomy structure including multiple taxonomy nodes corresponding to the multiple concepts. Content stored by a social networking system (SNS) may be searched to identify content relevant to each taxonomy node. Using relevant content identified, multiple web pages may be built with for the multiple taxonomy nodes in the taxonomy structure.

  • Patent number: 11446184
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a device which is intended to deliver and maintain reduced pressure to body surfaces for application of reduced pressure wound therapy (RPWT) also known as negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT). During application of this type of therapy, a substantially airtight seal is formed around a section of tissue to be treated. This seal is formed by a dressing which provides fluid communication from a section of tissue to a reduced pressure source. Disclosed herein is a dressing system which is configured to enhance usability and functionality of this dressing. First, the system may be configured to allow full rotation of the fluid communication conduit to the reduced pressure source along the axis substantially normal to the dressing. Second, the system may be configured to include a one-way valve to prevent backflow of any drainage fluids. Third, the system may be configured with transparent windows covered by opaque flaps to allow inspection through the dressing.

  • Patent number: 11188705
Abstract: An efficient electronic structure for circuit design, testing and/or manufacture for validating a cell layout design using an intelligent engine trained using selectively arranged cells selected from a cell library. An initial design rule violation (DRV) prediction engine is initially trained using a plurality of pin patterns generated by predefined cell placement combinations, where pin patterns are pixelized and quantified and is classified as either (i) a DRV pin pattern (i.e., pin patterns likely to produce a DRV) or (ii) a DRV-clean pin pattern (i.e., pin patterns unlikely to produce a DRV).

  • Patent number: 10891410
Abstract: In an example embodiment, a computer-implemented method is provided for receiving an integrated circuit design, wherein the integrated circuit design comprises at least one position in violation of one or more design rules associated with the integrated design, identifying one or more design patterns at the at least one violating position, generating one or more pattern graphs for the one or more design patterns, extracting a system on chip design for transformation into a block graph, and. comparing the block graph with each of the one or more pattern graphs to determine whether the at least one violating position is cleared. In circumstances where a match is found between the block graph and the each of the one or more pattern graphs, the computer-implemented method further comprises changing the one or more design patterns and repeating the step of comparing until there is no further match found.

  • Patent number: 7797654
Abstract: A design of an integrated circuit device, in which locations of power wires and memory/logic circuitry are known, is analyzed by at least: identifying intersections of power wires with one another, for power wires that are electrically connected to one another through vias; segmenting power wires, at their intersections; preparing estimates of conductance of vias and wire segments in the form of conductance matrix G; and preparing estimates of current I at each intersection based on power consumed by surrounding circuitry, and current vector “I” and conductance matrix “G” are used to solve for voltage drop ?V, in a matrix equation G?V=I, and the voltage drop is displayed, to allow a human to make changes in the design. Pins of unconnected hard macros are temporarily connected to their closest wires, and current therethrough is included in the estimates.
