Abstract: A fiber termination arrangement for terminating an optical line includes an outer housing having a first end, a second end, a first groove, a second groove, and an opening that extends in an axial direction between the first end and the second end. A sheath seal is positioned within the opening and includes a first sheath seal member having a first contact surface arranged to sealingly engage an outer sheath, and a first head member sealingly positioned within the first groove, and a second sheath seal member having a second contact surface arranged to sealingly engage the outer sheath, and a second head member sealingly positioned within the second groove. A tube seal is positioned within the opening and includes a first tube seal member having a first tube seal surface arranged to sealingly engage a tube, and a second tube seal member having a second tube seal surface arranged to sealingly engage the tube.

The connector has a solid core conductor, the solid core conductor has an end portion. The frame surrounds the solid core conductor except for the end portion. The end portion is deformed to overlap the frame. The socket includes a socket conductor and a receiving portion into which the plug engages. The end portion directly contacts the socket conductor to form an electrical contact and causes the frame to deflect and provide a bias to force the end portion and the socket conductor into direct contact with one another.

Abstract: A termination system includes an ethernet cable including eight conductors, a wire cage coupled to the ethernet cable and including eight arms arranged in a pattern, each arm including a first recess that extends to an end of the arm. Each conductor is associated with one of the arms and includes a portion positioned within the first recess. The termination also includes a connector having eight apertures arranged in the pattern, and eight contact sleeves, each disposed within one of the apertures and sized to receive one of the arms. The conductor associated with each arm is in electrical contact with the associated contact sleeve, and a termination cap is coupled to the cable.
