Abstract: An electronic gaming system that includes an electronic gaming machine (EGM) including a cabinet and a reel mount assembly for mounting a plurality of reels within the cabinet is described. The reel mount assembly includes a back panel comprising a plurality of apertures to receive an electrical connection between one of the plurality of reels and the EGM. The reel mount assembly also includes at least one sliding panel comprising a locking mechanism, wherein the at least one sliding panel is moveable in relation to the back panel and configured to be coupled to a reel of the plurality of reels. The reel mount assembly is configurable between one or more reel mounting configurations based on a position of the at least one sliding panel.

Abstract: A reel strip retention system to releasably attach a reel strip onto a reel basket using one or more tabs on the reel strip that engage with corresponding one or more slots positioned around an edge of the reel basket. The reel strip includes a pair of indents positioned adjacent a first end of the reel strip. The reel strip includes an adhesive layer positioned at either the first end or at the opposite second end of the reel strip. The reel basket includes a pair of detents positioned on the edge of the reel basket. The detents of the reel basket engage with the indents of the reel tape to attach the reel strip to the reel cage in a reliable, precise, and consistent manner and ensuring that the reel strip is in a correct starting position on the reel basket. As the reel strip is wound around the reel basket, the one or more tabs are inserted into the corresponding one or more slots on the reel basket.

A forming die having a cover half and an ejector half is shaped to define the features of the front head member. A conventional casting process is used to form the front head member. The front head member is cast to include a plurality of sealing surfaces, each concentric with a bore. A fastener passes through the bore to secure the front head member to the compressor housing such that a head portion of the fastener is in sealing engagement with the sealing surface as cast into the front head member to provide a pressure tight seal therebetween.
