  • Patent number: 11453536
Abstract: A tiered bowl system adapted for use as a dipping bowl, such as with salsa, for example. The bowl may have a forward portion with a rim at a first, lower, level and a rear portion with a rim of a second, higher, level. A lip may be attached to the rear portion which partially protrudes over the bowl. The tiered bowl system allows a user to dip into the bowl, and then to partially remove some of the material acquired from the dipping using the lip. The lip may be easily removable and replaceable to assist with cleaning and stacking of the bowl system.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 27, 2019
Date of Patent: September 27, 2022
    Inventor: Michael Philip Lazarus
  • Publication number: 20210276987
Abstract: The present disclosure describes novel compounds and compositions that reduce nicotine mediated cravings in humans. In embodiments, the novel compounds blocking CYP2A6-meditated nicotine metabolism thereby reducing the need for additional nicotine. Leading to a desirable treatment option in reducing nicotine craving which does not exacerbate the sympathetic response rate caused by the abused substance and which has favorable pharmacodynamics effects.

  • Patent number: 8476023
Abstract: Methods for aiding in determining therapeutic efficacy of an aromatase inhibitor in a subject are provided according to embodiments of the present invention which include detecting expression and/or function of at least one UDP-glucuronosyltransferase having activity to modify at least one aromatase inhibitor and/or metabolite of the aromatase inhibitor by glucuronidation, wherein detection of expression and/or function of the UDP-glucuronosyltransferase is correlated with therapeutic efficacy of the aromatase inhibitor in the subject. Detection of UDP-glucuronosyltransferase expression and/or function includes detection of a UDP-glucuronosyltransferase gene deletion polymorphism in the subject.

  • Publication number: 20110223597
Abstract: There is significant variability in subject clearance, half-life and side-effects from treatment with olanzapine (OLZ) in subjects. Methods for aiding in determining therapeutic efficacy of olanzapine in a subject are provided according to embodiments of the present invention which include identifying in a subject sample whether UDP-glucuronosyltransferase 2B10 (UGT2B10) and/or UDP-glucuronosyltransferase 1A4 (UGT1A4) is “wild-type” or a variant associated with altered glucuronidation of an olanzapine metabolite compared to wild-type.
