  • Patent number: 7542574
Abstract: A system for customising the synthesis and generation of spatial hearing in virtual auditory space (VAS) for individual listeners includes a measuring ruler (12) and a digital processing unit (DPU) (14) to which the ruler (12) is connected. The ruler (12) is used for measuring various physical dimensions of the morphology of a person's external auditory periphery (16). The ruler (12) comprises a base (18) insertable into an ear canal (20) of the person's ear. A robotic measuring arm (22) extends from the base (18) and has a measuring tip (24) to enable the ruler (12) to record the Cartesian (x,y,z) coordinates of the tip (24) relative to the base (18). By suitable manipulation of the robotic arm (22), the tip (24) can be positioned at desired locations on the person's external auditory periphery (16) to enable the morphological measurements of the person's external auditory periphery (16) to be effected.

  • Publication number: 20070069876
Abstract: A pressure system for monitoring the pressure in tires and other pressurized devices, is mounted in a position to receive pressure. A tire monitoring device structure is provided in which an average user can attach to the tire pressure stem. Internal pressure is monitored and transmitted to a receiver which is programmable to receive the signal and utilize it to provide information and warnings to the vehicle operator should the tire pressure (1) attain a value outside tolerance limits, or (2) become unmatched beyond relative tolerance limits.

  • Patent number: 5990816
Abstract: The present invention relates to a digital-to-analog converter having a plurality of inputs for digital signals and an output for an analog signal. It comprises a current amplification circuit having an input and an output coupled to the converter output, and a plurality of floating gate MOS transistors corresponding to the plurality of converter inputs and having their source terminals coupled together and to a first reference of potential. The converter has drain terminals coupled together and to the input of the amplification circuit, and has control terminals coupleable, under control from the inputs of the plurality, to different references of potential having selected fixed values.
