    Abstract: A composition comprising between about 30 and 70% by weight of a dialkyldiamido quaternary compound and between about 70 and 30% by weight of a polyoxyalkylene derivative may be coated onto substrates, and the articles thereby obtained are suitable for use as fabric softeners in automatic laundry dryers. The compositions of this invention, when coated onto substrates, are mechanically stable and thus are not dislodged or prematurely released when substrate is flexed or twisted.
