    Abstract: A polymeric film comprising a polyester film substrate comprising 0.1% to 10% by weight, relative to the weight of the polyester, of at least one UV absorber, and a heat sealable layer, wherein the substrate is a multilayer film having an outer substrate layer and an inner substrate layer, the inner substrate layer comprising 1% to 40% by weight of UV absorber, relative to the amount of UV absorber present in the outer substrate layer. The film is particularly suitable for use as a protective layer on a metal sheet.
