Abstract: A method for providing information related to a financial portfolio of a client. The method can include the steps of receiving tax news data related to a specific country, determining from client-portfolio data if the portfolio is invested in the specific country, and determining an effect that the country-news data will have on the client-portfolio data. The method can include the step of displaying results-information related to the effect that the country-news data will have on the client-portfolio data. Region-news data can be used to compare the tax law or treaty network in various countries.

Abstract: A system for securing and authenticating wireless transactions. The method includes hard cooing a public key into a non-reprogramable ROM 114 through a first path 130 of a wireless communication device 116. An object to be stored on the wireless device is first signed by a private or secret key 104, which corresponds to the public key 104, to create a certificate 120. The certificate 120 is then bound to the object and both are subsequently sent to the wireless device 116 though a second path 132, which is different from the first path 130. A certified program segment 119 is also stored on the wireless device and is executed upon the boot up process of the device. During the boot process of the device, the certified program segment 119 is authenticated, and if authentic, it is executed.

Abstract: A method (20) of disseminating information by a first end terminal (6) in a network having a plurality of end terminals (6) is disclosed. The method (20) includes the first end terminal (6) receiving (22) information from an information source, validating (24) the information and storing (28) the validated information. The method (20) also includes automatically forwarding (34) the validated information to a second end terminal (6) of the plurality of end terminals (6) over a communication channel established between the first and the second end terminals (6). The communication channel is established for a purpose separate from forwarding said validated information.
