  • Patent number: 12227351
Abstract: An apparatus has a cartridge utilized to contain a volume of construction material. A piston is inserted into the cartridge under operable control by at least one plunger assembly. A forming device is removably mounted to the cartridge opposite to the piston. A loading assembly is engaged to the cartridge to sequentially insert the volume of construction material and the piston into the cartridge. At least one sensor package is oriented towards the cartridge to capture at least one condition datum from the volume of construction material. A unitary controller receives and processes the condition datum to supply control signals to the plunger assembly and the loading assembly based on historical condition data.

  • Patent number: 12128616
Abstract: An apparatus has a carrier robot operative within a working volume. A forming mechanism is mounted to the carrier robot. A unitary controller supplies control signals to the carrier robot and the forming mechanism, such that the carrier robot implements mechanical motion along a deposition vector and the forming mechanism deposits a segment of structured material onto a build surface within the working volume.

  • Patent number: 12077958
Abstract: A concrete foundation with reinforcements is formed on a substrate. A first inner wythe horizontal layer and a first outer wythe horizontal layer are printed using a construction material mixture from a 3D printer. The first inner wythe horizontal layer and the first outer wythe horizontal layer are separated by an interstitial space. Additional inner wythe horizontal layers are printed upward on top of the first inner wythe horizontal layer to form a composite inner wythe. Additional outer wythe horizontal layers are printed upward on top of the first outer wythe horizontal layer to form a composite outer wythe. At least one wall tie is placed between the composite inner wythe and the composite outer wythe. A sill cap is installed on top of the composite inner wythe and the composite outer wythe. An anchor mechanism is installed into the sill cap.

  • Patent number: 8366430
Abstract: An improved safety device for a blow molding apparatus is disclosed. The safety device allows the user to trigger or disarm the locking mechanism and return the locking pins to the safe position instead of leaving it in the loaded position. The safety device prevents potential damage to an individual that is accessing the blow molding apparatus.

  • Patent number: 8115928
Abstract: A box inspector for detecting at an inspection station an unacceptable skew in, an item missing from, and/or an unacceptable gap in a box. The box inspector has pairs of aligned emitters and receivers generating a signal when an unacceptable skew is detected, at least two item present sensors corresponding to the number of items adapted to be located in a single row within the box and generating an item absent signal when an item is missing from the box, a gap detect sensor generating an unacceptable gap signal when the gap is larger than a predetermined gap size, and a box present sensor generating a box present signal when a box arrives at the inspection station. A controller receives signals from these components and generates indications when the box is unacceptably skewed, an item is missing from the box, and/or an unacceptable gap exists in the box.
