  • Publication number: 20190035013
Abstract: A Lease Information Exchange 110 provides serves as a portal between consumers 120 and one or more candidate automobile providers 131, 132, 133, 134, 135. The lease information exchange provides interfaces through which consumers can input inquiries 141 regarding leasing of an automobile and receive responses 142 regarding the lease. The lease information exchange 110 communicates with one or more candidate automobile providers 131, 132, 133, 134, 135 to solicit proposed lease proposals 152, 162, 172, 182, 192 from the candidate automobile providers 131, 132, 133, 134, 135. The lease information exchange 110 handles the interface to the consumer 120 without regard to the number of candidate automobile providers solicited and presents the information to the consumer 120 with clarity, visibiltiy, and easily understood language.

  • Patent number: 5842764
Abstract: A device for backlighting a plastic panel associated with a control knob and carrying indicia thereon for illumination by an electroluminescent panel under the plastic panel containing the indicia with the electronic circuitry for illuminating the electroluminescent panel being contained within the hollow control knob. A light-responsive device may be used to maintain the circuit in the OFF position until the ambient light intensity falls below a predetermined level.

  • Patent number: 5638151
Abstract: A back-lighted clap board or slate used with the identification of rolls, takes and scenes and like information in the making of films that is back-lit with an electroluminescent panel. In addition, a liquid crystal display is formed on the clap board in front of the electroluminescent panel so that the liquid crystal display is back-lit and made visible and thus in dark or semidark conditions will be energized and back-lit with the light from the electroluminescent panel.

  • Patent number: 5457507
Abstract: The present invention relates to a back lighted clap board or slate used for the identification of rolls, takes, and scenes and like information in the making of films that is back-lit with an electroluminescent panel. The electroluminescent panel is activated by the movement of the clap board arms with respect to each other such that, when the arms open, the electroluminescent panel is illuminated. A timing circuit determines the length of time the electroluminescent panel will be lit. Either a mechanically actuated switch or a Hall effect switch may be used to control the illumination of the electroluminescent panel. In addition, a photodiode may be used to detect light intensity and activate the circuit only when the light falls below a predetermined intensity.
