  • Publication number: 20250232371
Abstract: Technology is described for generating a tax document. In one example, a service provider system presents a screen of a user interface on a mobile device of a user. Based on user selection of an icon of the screen, comprising a request for generation of a tax document, the payment service system determines tax liability of the user and causes presentation of a tax document on a second screen without any intervening screens. Presenting the tax document comprises obtaining user data associated with a plurality of services offered by the service provider (e.g., payment processing service, tax service, securities brokerage service, payroll service, cryptocurrency brokerage service, loan service, etc.) and associated with an account of the user. Based on the user data and a user profile, the tax liability is determined and the tax document is displayed.

  • Patent number: 12293409
Abstract: Technology is described for generating a tax return document. In one example, a payment service system presents a user interface on a mobile device of a user. Based on user selection of an icon of the user interface, the payment service system determines tax liability of the user and generates tax return documents on behalf of the user. The tax liability and tax return documentation is based at least in part on a user profile of the user stored at the payment service system and on financial data associated with services provided to the user by the payment service system.

  • Patent number: 12136130
Abstract: Technology is described for managing a user account. An example method includes: a payment service system (PSS) monitoring in real-time transactions of users, receiving a request from a user to complete a transaction, and dynamically determining a predicted tax liability amount for the transaction that increases or decreases a total tax liability of the user. The PSS then displays the predicted tax liability amount on a display of the users device with a request for confirmation to continue with the transaction. If confirmation is received, the PSS modifies tax liability information for the user that reflects the completed transaction. The user may also cancel the transaction responsive to receiving the predicted tax liability amount.

  • Publication number: 20230329206
Abstract: A fishing reel includes a frame, a spool coupled to the frame for rotation about a rotational axis, a light source, a first optic, a sensor, a second optic, a controller, and a braking mechanism. The spool includes a first flange and a second flange. The first optic is positioned such that light emanating from the light source and passing through the first optic generates a substantially collimated band of light parallel with the rotational axis. The second optic is positioned and configured to focus the substantially collimated band of light toward the sensor. The controller is electrically coupled to the sensor and is configured to receive signals from the sensor and to generate a braking signal. The braking mechanism is electrically coupled to the controller, and the braking mechanism applies a braking force to slow the spool in response to the braking signal.
