Abstract: An edge device includes a microphone and is configured to detect a static position of the edge device for a first time period and to record audio received by the microphone while the static position remains constant. The device determines whether a target sound is within the audio received by the microphone by analyzing audio and sends an alert when the target sound is determined to be within the audio. The target sound may include a firearm discharge. Additionally, or alternatively, the edge device analyzes the audio for types of decibel levels and echoes inside the audio that track to the firearm discharge. The alert may comprise a package of information that includes a location.

Abstract: Service disruption avoidance techniques are provided based on deployment metadata associated with a cluster. The cluster includes one or more nodes. A plurality of applications are installed on the cluster. Prior to a maintenance activity to the one or more nodes of the cluster, a processor receives a request to determine a state of maintenance availability of an application. The processor retrieves deployment metadata for the plurality of applications installed on the cluster, in response to receiving the request. The processor parses the deployment metadata to identify one or more installation rules associated with the plurality of applications. The processor determines a set of conflicts for the first application, and determines the state of maintenance availability of the first application based on the set of conflicts.

The air outlet section comprises a first inlet for the first airflow, a second inlet for the second airflow, an air outlet for emitting airflow from the fan assembly, and pathways between the first inlet and the air outlet. In the first position, the first airflow travels along the first pathway and is emitted in a first outlet direction. In the second position, the second airflow interacts with the first, redirecting it along the second pathway, and emitting it in a second, different outlet direction.

  • Publication number: 20250146865
Abstract: Disclosed are integrated systems and methods employing distributed fiber optic sensing (DFOS) systems and methods to locate buried and/or aerial cables, as well as loop-back aerial cable sections and slack fiber lengths, in real-time. In sharp contrast to the prior art, systems and methods according to aspects of the present disclosure provide the location of cables without necessitating the opening of manholes/hand holes or pull cables to the round—thereby making the overall process faster, more cost-effective and more accurate and precise. Our inventive systems and methods provide a reliable and accurate alternative to current methods utilizing optical time domain reflectometry (OTDR), which requires known and accessible locations and may be ineffective for legacy fibers. By implementing systems and methods according to the present disclosure, service providers, carriers, and owners can efficiently maintain optical fiber networks and ensure reliable services for users.

  • Publication number: 20250145036
Abstract: Implementations claimed and described herein provide systems and methods for generating instructions for a mobile electric vehicle (EV) charging station to meet an EV at a particular time and place. In one implementation, EV trip data including a remaining range of the EV and an intended route of the EV is collected to determine a range of locations that the EV can stop at along its route without running out of power. Instructions to one of the locations are generated for a mobile EV charging station that is a best fit for arriving at the particular location and for the EV to reach the same location.
