  • Patent number: 11853493
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a transparent conductive film for a touch sensitive panel, comprising: providing a layered structure comprising a plurality of homogeneous layers which include at least a first transparent conductive layer, a second transparent conductive layer, and a transparent support substrate between the first transparent conductive layer and the second transparent conductive layer, the transparent support substrate being the thickest layer of the layered structure; forming an electrode pattern in the first transparent conductive layer by laser ablation of the first transparent layer by a laser beam incident on the first transparent layer from a side of the transparent support substrate on which the first transparent layer is provided; wherein the laser beam and transparent support substrate are configured such that the laser beam energy density is reduced by 50% or more by the transparent support substrate.

  • Patent number: 8779326
Abstract: A device for accurately positioning laser scribed lines in a thin top layer of material with respect to lines already scribed in lower layers for the purpose of making solar panels. An alignment detector system is attached to and displaced from an optics unit that generates laser beams by a distance such that the detector measures the position of scribed lines in the lower layers in the area of the panel that will be scribed at a subsequent time. A motion and control system moves the panel such that the detector follows the path of one or more of the lines scribed in one of the lower layers and measures the position of the lines. The system accepts data from the alignment detector and uses the data to correct the relative position of the optics unit.

  • Publication number: 20090324903
Abstract: A method is described for accurately positioning laser scribed lines in a thin top layer of material which overcoats one or more other lower layers in which lines have already been scribed for the purpose of making solar panels. This is accomplished by means of an optics unit that generates one or more laser beams in order to scribe one or more lines in the top layer on the panel. An alignment detector system is attached to the optics unit and the detector is displaced from the optics unit by a distance such that the detector measures the position of one of the scribes in the lower layers in the area of the panel that will be scribed at a subsequent time.

  • Publication number: 20050206041
Abstract: A nozzle in a nozzle plate for an inkjet printhead is formed by directing a laser beam at a nozzle plate. Accurate control of the divergence of the beam is achieved by splitting the beam into sub-beams, each sub-beam having divergence with an origin lying apart from the point at which the beam is created by splitting, and thereafter recombining the sub-beams. Greater accuracy in the taper and inlet shape of the manufactured nozzle is thereby obtained.
