  • Publication number: 20240123140
Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed wherein temperature in a device such as an ambulatory infusion pump is monitored during inductive charging of the device such that temperature-sensitive contents or components, such as, for example, insulin, particular circuitry and/or other components are not damaged. Temperature can be monitored in the device at one or more locations during inductive charging. If the temperature breaches one or more predetermined thresholds and/or is rising at a rate greater than one or more predetermined thresholds, charging can be suspended or provided at reduced power to prevent the temperature from further rising and damaging the contents and/or components of the device. One or more alerts associated with these events may also be triggered so that the user is aware of the situation and may take corrective action.

  • Patent number: 7090623
Abstract: An exercise apparatus (100) for performing press exercises is disclosed. The exercise apparatus includes a frame (102) and a support assembly (118) adjustably coupled to the frame. A first press arm (108) is coupled to the support assembly and is pivotal about a first pivot axis (140A) between a rest position and an extended position. An adjustment mechanism (152) is coupled to the support assembly and adapted to selectively adjust the support assembly between a first position, wherein when the first press arm is rotated about the first pivot axis a preselected angle, a distal end (304A) of the first press arm scribes a first predetermined path (300A), and a second position, wherein when the first press arm is rotated about the first pivot axis the preselected angle, the distal end scribes a second predetermined path (302A).

  • Patent number: 6752744
Abstract: The exercise device (10) exercises both the upper and lower body in associated motion, while preventing derailment or other related instability of the lower body linkage, due to the connection and force imparted from the upper body linkage. The device includes a frame (12) which has a forward upright member (20). The axle mounts (30) and (32) are attached to the rear region of the frame (12) and support a transverse axle (34) which is preferably operatively connected to a flywheel (36). The ends of the transverse axle (34) rotatably engage left and right crank arm assemblies (40) and (50) that are coupled to the left and right foot links (60) and (70) so that the foot links travel in an arcuate reciprocal path as the transverse axle rotates. The forward ends (62) and (72) of the foot links terminate in rollers (68) and (78), which engage guide tracks (42) and (52) that are mounted to the frame.
