    Abstract: An encoded seismic source, such as a marine vibrator, and a receiver, such as a seismic streamer, are pulled through water at constant velocity and depth. The source is periodically actuated and the reflected acoustic signals are converted by the receiver into seismic data. The seismic data are transformed to a fixed reference frame relative to earth before being processed.
