Publication number: 20230288501Abstract: Electric vehicle supply equipment has a test circuit configured to be switchable from a first test mode to at least a second test mode. In the first test mode, the test circuit is configured to measure a first voltage difference between a live terminal and a neutral terminal, a second voltage difference between the live terminal and a reference ground terminal and a third voltage difference between a circuit protective conductor terminal and the reference ground terminal and to disconnect a charging supply if at least one of the first, second and third voltage differences exceeds a respective voltage limit. In the second test mode, the test circuit is configured to measure the first voltage difference and to disconnect the charging supply if the first voltage difference exceeds a respective voltage limit and not to disconnect the charging supply in response to any test of the second or third voltage differences.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 18, 2023Publication date: September 14, 2023Inventors: Michael SCHOOLING, Philip STRONG, Petros KOUNNOS

Patent number: 10526627Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods of making high molecular weight, reduced viscosity starch pastes by enzymatic conversion. The methods provide a process for producing enzyme-thinned starch pastes that have improved molecular weight distributions, i.e., starch pastes having a more mid to high molecular weight content and less low molecular weight sugars than traditional enzyme converted pastes at similar solids and viscosity. In some embodiments, the methods utilize an enzyme capable of producing longer-chain oligosaccharides rather than low-molecular weight sugars. Other embodiments utilize a combination of enzymes to provide low viscosity pastes that are stabilized against setback and retrogradation. Furthermore, the methods may utilize a continuous starch enzyme cooker for the production of the high molecular weight, reduced viscosity starch pastes.Type: GrantFiled: November 26, 2008Date of Patent: January 7, 2020Assignee: Corn Products Development, IncInventors: Roman Skuratowicz, Mathew Rice, Aaren Stubberfield, Philip Strong

Patent number: 9134248Abstract: This disclosure provides a system component and method for analysis of airborne analytes by absorbing the analytes into a liquid and interrogating the liquid with an analytical instrument. In some examples, a cartridge with a microfluidic chip contains a vessel of a colloidal solution of nanostructured particles in a liquid. The vessel is broken, releasing the solution into microfluidic containers on the chip. Air having analytes is passed over the chip leading to absorption of airborne analytes into the solution. The analytes bind with the nanostructures and are detected optically. Techniques are disclosed for filling the vessel in a way that maintains the efficacy of the solution until it is needed for measurement.Type: GrantFiled: November 28, 2012Date of Patent: September 15, 2015Assignee: OndaVia, Inc.Inventors: Carl D. Meinhart, Brian D. Piorek, T.J. Reed, Ian Cutler, Philip Strong

Patent number: 5029110Abstract: An automatic data plotting apparatus consists of three main parts: a processor; a serial and parallel interface; and a plotter. The plotter is a flat-bed X-Y plotter. The data processor is programmed to handle one or more data inputs and instruct the plotter to record information relating to the data inputs on a plot. The processor translates the incoming data into times, bearings, tracks and any other characteristics. A pause facility is provided to suspend plotting, the incoming data being stored in a data store while the pause facility is in operation and being recorded on the plot when the pause is discontinued. An automatic data plotting apparatus provides a focal point at which incoming information can be co-ordinated and displayed. The displayed information can then be evaluated and/or stored for later analysis.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 1990Date of Patent: July 2, 1991Assignee: The Secretary of State for Defence in Her Britannic Majesty's Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern IrelandInventors: Rex H.
