  • Patent number: 4765440
Abstract: A food service electrically driven conveyor having a substantially rectangular table with a flat top and a sprocket chain disposed in a continuous loop parallel to it. The chain is trained over sprockets of relatively small diameter located at each end of the table. Several trays are carried around the path outside the loop by means of a self-lubricating sliding block that rides on a rail member that is contiguous to the chain loop. Pivotally mounted arm members on the block pivotally connect to different link members of the chain.

  • Patent number: 4216845
Abstract: A portable self-supporting food service conveyor has an elongated rectangular table top supported at each end by box-like pedestal enclosures and in the top of which there is a circular tracking slot within which is removably received an articulated-slat conveyor belt. Centrally supported above the table top are a pair of vertically-spaced, rectangular shelf members for the temporary storage of condiments and other food portions to be placed on removable trays carried by the conveyor belt. One of the support pedestals houses electric drive mechanism for sprocket drive from underneath of a sprocket chain comprising the articulated conveyor belt and projecting through the conveyor tracking slot. The other pedestal houses a refrigerating compressor and evaporator system associated with a cooling coil serving to refrigerate a portion of one of the food holding shelves.

  • Patent number: 4138953
Abstract: A shelving assembly with rectangular, formed sheet metal shelves horizontally supported by tubular corner posts has molded snythetic plastic corner block members operative to releasably grip any one of a plurality of peripheral zones spaced along the support posts for selective shelf height adjustment. Each sheet metal shelf is formed with a peripheral skirt terminating in a horizontally inwardly-extending flange portion and vertical corner cut-out portions defining together recesses for receiving the individual corner blocks in close-fitting embracing, relation, the corner blocks also being formed, at outside corners thereof, with vertically-extending, rounded projections receivable in the said skirt cut-out portions to define with said peripheral skirt, flush, rounded corner surfaces.

  • Patent number: 4130054
Abstract: A portable waste compactor for automatically compressing, from above, waste material deposited in a dolly-supported waste bin has a hydraulically actuated reciprocable ram mechanism including a ram plate operative to compress the waste material within the waste bin. A chute leading to the waste bin extends forewardly thereof and of the ram mechanism, and has a top opening for the feeding of waste material to be compacted. The ram plate is pivotally mounted with respect to a ram cylinder piston and cam means is provided for tilting the forward end of the ram plate upwardly to provide for unimpeded passage of refuse through the chute into the compacting bin when the said ram is at its uppermost position of rest at the end of a cycle of ram operation. Electrical interlocking means controlling operation of the hydraulic system prevents operation of the ram mechanism unless the dolly and its associated refuse bin is in proper position, and unless a cover covering the waste discharge chute is in closed position.

  • Patent number: 4009838
Abstract: A portable solid waste shredder for automatically shredding refuse or waste materials including any kind of wet or dry trash, glass, metal cans, cartons, wood, cardboard and particularly synthetic plastics. The device comprises oppositely rotating pluralities of rotary shredding jaws, accessible through an open top or a front opening door, chute means from the rotary jaws to feed the shredded materials from the jaws to a conveyor for discharge through an opening in one side of the shredder housing, and means to collect all liquids from the trash inserted into the shredder device for discharge into a wheeled dolly at the bottom of the shredder device.
