  • Patent number: 9021582
Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques of determining whether a symbol stream includes a pattern defined by a regular expression. As described herein, the regular expression may be represented using a non-deterministic finite automaton (NFA). A plurality of states in the NFA may be evaluated in parallel. These states may be associated with a plurality of symbol positions in a symbol stream. Evaluating a plurality of states and symbols in parallel may allow for faster determinations of whether the symbol stream includes the pattern defined by the regular expression.

  • Patent number: 9019752
Abstract: Static random access memory (SRAM) global bitline circuits for reducing glitches during read accesses, and related methods and systems are disclosed. A global bitline scheme in SRAM can reduce output load, reducing power consumption. In certain embodiments, SRAM includes an SRAM array. The SRAM includes a global bitline circuit for each SRAM array column. Each global bitline circuit includes memory access circuit that pre-charges local bitlines corresponding to bitcells in SRAM array. The data read from selected bitcell is read from its local bitline onto aggregated read bitline, an aggregation of local bitlines. The SRAM includes bitline evaluation circuit that sends data from aggregated read bitline onto global bitline. Instead of sending data based on rising transition of clock trigger, data is sent onto the global bitline based on falling transition of clock trigger. A global bitline scheme can be employed that reduces glitches and resulting increases in power consumption.

  • Patent number: 9018020
Abstract: Provided are methods and systems for treating shunts on solar cell substrates. Also provided are solar cells including such substrates. A shunt detected on a substrate proximate to a metallized grid pattern is electrically disconnected from at least the bus portion of the grid, which reduces shunt's impact on performance on the solar cell. An antireflective layer may be disposed between the shunt and a portion of the grid extending over the shunt. The exposure pattern of a photoresist used to form the antireflective layer may be adjusted accordingly to achieve this result. In some embodiments, the metallized grid may be modified by adjusting the exposure pattern of a photoresist used to form this grid. The grid may be modified to avoid any contact between the grid and the shunt or to disconnect a portion of the grid contacting the shunt from the bus portion area of the grid.

  • Publication number: 20150108260
Abstract: A meat grinding reclamation system is disclosed herein. The system uses a conical feed screw. The conical feed screw is provided with a shaft and two flights. The first flight changes from a constant diameter to an expanding diameter. The second flight is provided co-helically along the shaft with a portion of the first flight. As both flights expand in diameter, meat processed through the meat grinding reclamation system accelerates, dislodging undesirable material such as gristle from the meat, before the meat decreases in velocity to present the meat for further processing.

  • Publication number: 20150113120
Abstract: Techniques for predictively scaling a distributed application are described. Embodiments could monitor performance of an application within a cloud computing environment over a first window of time to collect historical performance data. Here, the application comprises a plurality of application instances. A workload of the application could be monitored over a second window of time to collect historical workload data. Embodiments could analyze both the historical performance data and the historical workload data to determine one or more scaling patterns for the application. Upon determining a present state of the application matches one of the one or more scaling patterns, a plan for predictively scaling the application could be determined. Embodiments could then predictively scale the plurality of application instances, based on the determined plan.
