    Abstract: An arrangement for assisting access to a high rise building in the event of fire within the building in which chains are secured to a movable frame so that when the apparatus is in an extended position, the chains hang well away from the face of the building, and a cabin can engage the chains which can be held stabilized by downward tension, and the cabin being self-climbing, can provide the said access to the building.
