Patent number: 12070704Abstract: A method including the steps of providing fluid through an inlet into a vessel at atmospheric pressure. The method further includes passing the fluid through a filtration unit utilizing a downstream pump, the filtration unit creating a flux of less than or equal to about 0.05 gallons per minute per square foot (GPM/ft2), and moving the fluid processed by the filtration unit through an outlet of the vessel.Type: GrantFiled: May 2, 2023Date of Patent: August 27, 2024Assignee: Pentair Filtration Solutions, LLCInventors: Philip Wade, Tanner R. Publication number: 20240142332Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for tire condition monitoring, and more particularly for detecting slow leakage of inflation pressure. Data acquisition devices (e.g., tire pressure monitoring system sensors) are mounted onboard motor vehicles and collect data samples corresponding to at least tire inflation pressure. The collected data samples may e.g. only be transmitted for analysis while the motor vehicle is in a fleet yard or otherwise wherein the contained air temperature effectively matches an ambient temperature. A time elapsed is calculated from a first data sample within a defined sampling period, and a statistical model is applied for at least the data samples corresponding to inflation pressure with respect to the time elapsed. A tire slow leak event is ascertained based on an evaluated amount of decrease in the inflation pressure from the statistical model, and an output signal is selectively generated corresponding to the ascertained slow leak event.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 16, 2021Publication date: May 2, 2024Inventors: Toshiki Kuramoto, Teppei Mori, Haruya Ishizuka, Meagan Gentry, Maxfield H. Patent number: 6544540Abstract: Microcapsules formed from an aminoplast shell wall and an encapsulated ingredient or ingredients enclosed within the wall in which the wall contains a base-cleavable ester moiety. These capsules have been found to be sensitive to the presence of base such that in the presence of base, the capsule walls are relatively quickly disintegrated or degraded so as to produce a relatively quick release of the encapsulated materials. Microcapsules of this invention are particularly suitable for use in controlling insects having an alkaline gut such as certain lepidoptera in that the capsule shell wall may be designed so as to quickly disintegrate under the alkaline conditions present in the gut of the insect thus providing a microcapsule which is safe to handle but which is selectively effective against certain undesirable insects while not harmful to beneficial insects or insects which do not feed on the capsule materials.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 1999Date of Patent: April 8, 2003Assignee: Syngenta LimitedInventors: Juanita Elena Van Koppenhagen, Herbert Benson Scher, Kuo-Shin Lee, Ian Malcolm Shirley, Philip Wade, Richard Follows
