    Abstract: In aspects of foldable mobile device camera and face detection, a mobile device includes a camera device to capture a facial image. The mobile device also includes a viewfinder of the camera device to display a preview of the facial image, and includes a position sensor to detect an orientation of the mobile device. The mobile device implements an image detection controller to detect that facial characteristics in the preview of the facial image will not support facial recognition. The image detection controller revises. based on the detected orientation of the mobile device, the preview of the facial image so that the facial characteristics will support the facial recognition.

    Abstract: In aspects of adjusting noise cancellation based on detected speech, a client device implements an ANC manager that detects a headset employing active noise cancellation (ANC) during a call routed to the headset. The ANC manager detects audio received at a microphone associated with the headset and determines whether the audio received at the microphone indicates a user of the headset is speaking during the call. Based on whether the user of the headset is speaking during the call, the ANC manager adjusts the ANC.

    Abstract: A method provides techniques for creating automated customized incoming call announcements. The method includes obtaining audio voice data for a voice conversation from a call between a user of the communication device and a second person. The audio voice data is then parsed to identify a salutation issued by one of the user and the second person in the audio voice data. An audible incoming call announcement is generated to associate with the second person, based at least in part on the salutation. In response to receiving an incoming call originating from a device of the second user, outputting the audible incoming call announcement in lieu of a default call announcement.

    Abstract: A method and system for testing a computer is presented. The temperature of the computer is controlled by one or more on-board fans inside the computer's enclosure. Voltages are controlled at the Voltage Regulator Module (VRM) level. A test program is then run under varying temperature and VRM voltages, and the results of the test program are logged. The present invention can be used either at the manufacturer's location or the customer's site, either under local or remote control.
