  • Patent number: 11221128
Abstract: A low profile lighting device for installation on a flat surface such as a ceiling. The low profile down light can have a housing comprising a generally planar surface and a sidewall rising from the planar surface; a PCB with a plurality of LEDs affixed to the generally planar surface of the housing; a lens in contact with the sidewall of the housing and having a first side facing the LEDs on the PCB such that light from the LED illuminates the first side of the lens; and a trim ring adapted to slide over the housing and having a first end and a second end opposite the first end, wherein the first end has a plurality of tabs adapted to secure the trim ring to a housing and the second end has an inwardly projecting lip adapted to contact the second side of the lens thereby securing the lens to the housing.

  • Patent number: 10479573
Abstract: A loop forming fastener including a ratchet and locking features that can be utilized to provide for a desired loop size. The loop forming fastener may include an elongate body portion having a first end and an opposite tail portion, with a head connected to the elongate body, the head defining an opening configured to receive the elongate body to form a loop. A ratchet may allow movement of the body through the opening in a first direction, but prevents movement in a second direction. The elongate body may include a stopper to maintain at least a minimum loop size. The head may include a locking mechanism to lock the elongate body, and thereby establish a desired size of the loop.

  • Patent number: 10232295
Abstract: A filter includes filter media and a mesh panel secured to a face of the filter media. The mesh panel has a perimeter edge margin and intersecting web members that extend from the perimeter edge margin across the panel. A web member can have an outer web portion with a larger minimum width than an inner web portion. The web members can define an outer flow opening with a smaller cross-sectional opening than an inner flow opening defined by the web members. The flow openings can be diamond shaped. The web members can include one set of web portions that define an outer flow opening and another set that define an inner flow opening. The sum of the widths of the second set can be less than the sum of the widths of the first set.

  • Patent number: 9568083
Abstract: An infinitely-variable transmission system is disclosed. The system comprises an input shaft (10) and an output shaft (14). The transmission is operative to transmit rotational drive between the input shaft (10) and the output shaft (14). The transmission includes a variator (20) that can transmit drive at a continuously variable ratio between a minimum variator ratio and a maximum variator ratio. The transmission can operate a low-speed regime and in a high-speed regime.

  • Publication number: 20070072583
Abstract: Provided is an emergency locator system adapted for GPS-enabled wireless devices. Global Positioning System (GPS) technology is and Location Based Services (LBS) are used to determine the exact location of a user and communicate information relating to the emergency status of that location. The user initiates the locator application via a wireless device and their physical location information is automatically transferred to a server. The server then compares the user's location with Geographic Information System (GIS) maps to identify the emergency status associated with their location. Once the server has calculated the current emergency status, the information is automatically returned to the user, along with emergency instructions.
