  • Publication number: 20220187428
Abstract: Disclosed is an autonomous inspection system comprising at least one autonomous mobile robot. The robot has a plurality of two-dimensional LiDAR scanners each scanner having a two-dimensional scanning plane. The plurality of scanners are mounted on the autonomous mobile robot with scanning plane orientations which are non-coplanar. A processor comprises an input to receive point data from the plurality of LiDAR arrays and an output to provide inspection data. The processor is configured to compile the point data from the plurality of LiDAR scanners into three-dimensional plot of the surrounding of the autonomous mobile robot and identify the dimensions and profile of articles within the three-dimensional plot. A method of inspection is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 8582641
Abstract: Satellite distribution apparatus is provided for distributing digital broadcast signals in a pre-determined locality or building. The apparatus includes satellite receiving means for receiving broadcast signals from at least one satellite and communication means for transmitting the received signals to a control unit in the locality or building. The control unit allows a plurality of received digital broadcast signals to be selected and output onto a single cable for distribution around said locality or building. The control unit includes means for allowing the bandwidth of the selected signals to be compressed and rearranged for transmitting onto a single cable outlet. At least part of the means for compressing said selected digital broadcast signals includes signal symbol stacking means.

  • Patent number: 7283784
Abstract: Broadcast data receiver apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a broadcast data receiver (BDR) connected to at least one LNB. The BDR provides a power supply to allow operation of the LNB. At least two analogue to digital converter sampling points are provided to allow the input and output voltages to be measured at the LNB, thereby allowing the voltage drop across a linear regulator (8) of the LNB to be assessed. Control means are provided to control the power supply from the BDR to the LNB in response to the voltage measurements obtained.

  • Publication number: 20050055232
Abstract: A personalized information system and method assists users in collecting information regarding goals and other interests by periodically sending related messages containing repeated questions to users. A user can select from a collection of predetermined questions, can originate questions, and can rely upon coaches or experts to develop related questions. The collected information can be reviewed by the user, a coach, or other expert to alter the questions, provide suggestions, or take other action. Information collection can be aided by allowing the user to respond to the questions directly within received e-mails without having to log onto another system. Vendors can also market goods and services to the users based on the collected information along with other financial transaction information as permitted by the users. Some implementations also provide for introductions between users based upon shared interests and other factors.
