  • Publication number: 20070261073
Abstract: A system and method for real-time monitoring of programming content transmission over a broadcast network. The identification and analysis of data embedded within a broadcast signal allows a broadcaster to determine whether or not their content is actually being broadcast over the network as intended. The embedded data may include various information and indicators, such as proprietary tags, included in the signal. Real-time monitoring may occur across single or multiple channels, narrow or wide geographic areas, be based on various demographic or other characteristics, and may be monitored by content providers or others.

  • Patent number: 6968478
Abstract: Method and apparatus for data transfer validation is described. Configuration data is obtained. A signature for the configuration data is generated. The configuration data and the signature are stored in a first memory. The configuration data is transferred to a second memory for storage. The configuration data transferred is read to generate another signature, where the other signature is for the configuration data transferred. The configuration data read is compressed to provide the other signature. The signature is transferred for comparison with the other signature to validate whether the configuration data transferred was transferred without error. The method and apparatus may be used when transferring configuration data, including, but not limited to, transfer of configuration data from a memory to a programmable logic device.

  • Publication number: 20040199266
Abstract: The invention is based on theory, believed to be original, of structure in real time systems. It proposes equipment conforming to this structure, with a method of defining a requirement in terms of rules governing a data structure and the times at which components of the structure are recorded. The data structure consists of a set of lists containing all run-time data and organised in a hierarchy in which an entry of one list may contain particular values, or the latest-available values, of other lists. Theoretical limits on concurrency are proposed, with methods of observing them. Response time performance is adjustable without prejudice to functional performance. Compared with current methods coupling is reduced, improving support for modular structure.

  • Patent number: 6429028
Abstract: A process to remove a semiconductor die from a plastic package and then to reassemble the die in a high reliability hermetic package. The process is used to remove an already existing die using a unique disassembly and etching process and make the removed die more reliable by reattaching the die and rebonding all new die wires into either a hermetic package or a different type of package with a “bond-on-top-of-bond” technique. The original bondfoot on the removed die may be first preconditioned by a novel bond-flattening tool, which can be attached to the bond-head chuck of any wirebonder. Also, the die can be used in other applications with different pin-outs or configurations.

  • Patent number: 5619553
Abstract: A method of conducting an intercom communication between two cordless telephone handsets is disclosed wherein a handset requests that the base unit designate the handset with temporary master status upon initiation of an intercom communication. The responsibility of providing master system timing is transferred from the base unit to the handset for the duration of the intercom call. Upon conclusion of the intercom call the responsibility of providing master system timing is returned to the base unit.

  • Patent number: 5586141
Abstract: A method of communicating between two or more radios each capable of transmitting and receiving signals between one another on two or more radio channels wherein the radios hop from channel to channel in a pseudo-random sequence. The method comprises establishing hop synchronization between the radios utilizing a first cycle and operating the radios in a communication mode utilizing a second cycle. The first cycle is shorter than the second cycle so as to facilitate rapid synchronization while preserving the benefits and security obtained through the use of longer cycle length during communication mode.
