  • Patent number: 9644090
Abstract: The invention relates to a polymer mixture made of styrene/nitrile monomer copolymers and of graft copolymers based on acrylate rubbers, and also to thermoplastic moulding compositions and mouldings produced therefrom and use of these.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 6, 2013
Date of Patent: May 9, 2017
    Assignee: INEOS STYROLUTION EUROPE GMBH
Inventors: Norbert Niessner, Michael Ishaque, Philipp Böckmann, Rolf Minkwitz
  • Publication number: 20160222185
Abstract: Deep black thermoplastic molding compositions having high gloss can be produced by mixing the following components: 90% to 99.5% by weight of one or more styrene copolymers as component A1, or 90% to 99.5% by weight of one or more polymethylmethacrylates (PMMA) and/or polyalkylmethacrylates as component A2, or 90% to 99.5% by weight of one or more polycarbonates (PC) and/or polyester carbonates as component A3, 0.01% to 5% by weight of a pigment black as component B, 0.1% to 1.5% by weight of at least two dyes soluble in the molding composition as component C, 0% to 5% by weight of one or more additives other than components B and C, as component D. These are found to be particularly weathering-resistant.

  • Publication number: 20160200906
Abstract: Thermoplastic copolymer compositions which contain 50 to 82 wt.-% of a SAN copolymer AI and 15 to 55 wt.-% of a graft copolymer A2, which has an average particle size of 50 to 150 nm and is constituted of at least one rubber-like graft base with a glass transition temperature Tg<0° C., at least one alkyl acrylate, the cyclic cross-linking agent dicyclopentadienyl acrylate and a non-cyclic, additional cross-linking agent, and of 20 to 40 wt.-% of at least one graft shell composed of styrene and acrylonitrile; and auxiliary agents and/or additives, have improved gloss when exposed to weathering.
