  • Publication number: 20130171584
Abstract: The present application relates to a fitting for insertion into a dental implant in an insertion orientation defining a central insertion axis (X) and an insertion direction (D) of the fitting. The fitting includes at least one resilient spring member being expandable perpendicularly to the insertion axis (X) of the fitting for impeding a movement of the fitting relative to the dental implant along the insertion axis (X) when inserted into the dental implant. It further includes an alignment feature for rotationally aligning the fitting relative to the dental implant about the insertion axis (X). The fitting is characterized in that the alignment feature extends further in the insertion direction (D) than the spring member.

  • Publication number: 20120197404
Abstract: An intervertebral implant is configured to be fixed in an intervertebral space defined by a first vertebral body and a second vertebral body. The intervertebral implant includes an implant body sized to be inserted into an intervertebral space, and a fixation assembly carried by the implant body. The fixation assembly includes a fixation housing and a plurality of fixation members attached to the fixation housing. The fixation assembly can be iterated from a retracted position to an extended position that causes the fixation members to travel along a channel of the implant body and out the implant body so as to attach the implant to the first and second vertebral bodies.

  • Publication number: 20120071978
Abstract: A distractible intervertebral implant configured to be inserted in an insertion direction into an intervertebral space that is defined between a first vertebral body and a second vertebral body is disclosed. The implant may include a first body and a second body. The first body may define an outer surface that is configured to engage the first vertebral body, and an opposing inner surface that defines a rail. The second body may define an outer surface that is configured to engage the second vertebral body, and an inner surface that defines a recess configured to receive the rail of the first body. The second body moves in a vertical direction toward the second vertebral body as the second body is slid over the first body and the rail is received in the recess.

  • Publication number: 20110184414
Abstract: A bone fixation plate, comprises an elongated body contoured to conform to the anatomy of a clavicle, the elongated body comprising a head at a first end and a shaft extending therefrom to a second end, the second end further comprising a reduced diameter tapered tip configured to permit insertion of the elongate body through a minimally invasive incision formed adjacent the clavicle. The bone fixation plate also comprises a first plate hole extending through the shaft from a proximal face to a distal face, the first plate hole formed as a combination hole and a second plate hole extending through the head from the proximal face to the distal face, the second plate hole being threaded.
