  • Patent number: 4421095
Abstract: A room heating apparatus for small spaces adapted to be fired with a gaseous or vaporized liquid fuel, especially for mobile homes, has a combustion gas channel with an upper horizontal cross channel serving as a heat exchanger. Outer fins (12, 20) project from the sidewalls (16) of the combustion gas channel. In order to increase the heat exchange from the upper cross channel (5) and avoid the overheating also under greater loads, the outer fins of the cross channel (5) are formed as large surface fins (20), which project essentially further in the right angle direction from the vertical sidewalls (16) of the cross channel (5) than the outer fins (12) arranged thereunder extend from their respective channel wall.

  • Patent number: 4373472
Abstract: A water heater has a closed container of approximately circular cross-section, a housing surrounding at least a lower part of the water container, the housing being closed by a base and forming, with the base of the water container, a gas-tight combustion chamber, a lower induction aperture for fresh air, an upper extraction aperture for waste gases, and passages through the water container for inlet and outlet pipes. The improvement is that an annular space connected with the combustion chamber is formed between the housing and the water container. The waste gas extraction aperture and the fresh air induction aperture are located in the housing. One or two box-shaped corner sections, for one or both apertures, adjoin the curved housing and, by means of their side walls, convert the housing in the vicinity of the corner sections into a rectangular shape. A connecting branch to link up with a through-flow unit in the outer wall is provided in one side wall.

  • Patent number: 4050705
Abstract: A known ski scooter, for use as sport and training equipment, has a foot board, on which the user's foot is secured by a binding, and sets of wheels adjacent the ends of the boards, one set being braked by a brake element linked to a brake lever formed for engagement of a ski stick in it. The invention has the brake lever as a hinged element operable by pulling it with a ski stick fitted with an engaging device, for example a rubber end member for the ski stick or a basket or a bearing ring with diametrically opposed extensions on it.
