  • Publication number: 20030040823
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to optimizing measure values associated with components of a product, where the measure values relate to quantities of interest, such as, for example, the price of the components, the amount of time that it takes to supply the components, a performance adequacy rating associated with the components, or a safety rating associated with the components. Where the product may be supplied in accordance with more than one design, components from different designs may be selected to further optimize measure values associated with components of the product.
