    Abstract: An operating method for a hybrid vehicle having an electric motor and an internal combustion engine, in which driving, in particular a start of a journey, occurs in a purely electric-motor mode if a velocity (vF) drops below a predefined limiting value, a temperature (TB) of a vehicle battery drops below a predefined limiting value, a driver's request torque (MF)/activation of an accelerator pedal drops below a predefined limiting value, and a state of charge (SOC) of the vehicle battery exceeds a predefined limiting value, to allow for starting situations in residential areas or underground parking garage.
