Abstract: A calculation system is disclosed having a pointing means. A display device presents the control interface of the system for the operator and the system triggering functions carries out a series of automation aids. The calculation system recovers the information descriptive of the automation aids programmed by the system while carrying out a function. The calculator system includes a means for displaying this information in a dialog area of the control interface of the function and has a direct access for the operator to the configuration of the parameters of the automation aids in the system. The invention applies to any complex automated system and finds a particularly beneficial application in respect of aircraft flight management systems.

The nozzle includes at least one injection hole. The method of manufacturing a fuel injector includes defining a shape of at least one injection hole in a glass substrate to obtain an at least one outlined injection hole and etching the at least one outlined injection hole to obtain the at least one injection hole.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device using force of one or several persons comprising a lever arm which consists of a bar (1) and an effort transmission triangle (1.2) and points fixed to a ground for pushing the vehicle rear part (1.4) in such a way that it is moved from mud. Said fixed points are formed by blocks (2) inserted under the wheels and anchored to the ground by the vehicle weight. The inventive device essentially comprises a main bar (1) consisting of abutment elements (1.1), a triangle (1,2) provided with end rings (1.7), a laddle (1.6) resting on the ground, straps or cables (1.9) tensioning the bar in such a way that it operates under tension, a joint and a vehicle hooking point (1, 4), strips, rods and blocks. The blocks (2) are placed before the wheels and are connected to the rings of the triangle through the connecting rods (3) and strips (3,6). The bar lifting force is transformed into a rear push and the vehicle progression.

Abstract: A system in package (10) has a, preferably wireless, test controller (20) for testing each die (30) after it has bee mounted onto the substrate of the system in package (10), and a faulty die (30) is repaired before a next die (30) is mounted onto the substrate (15). This way, the system in package (10) can be tested during the intermediate stages of its manufacturing, thus ensuring that all dies (30) function correctly before sealing the dies in the single package. Consequently, a method for manufacturing a system in package (10) is obtained that has an improved yield compared to known manufacturing methods.

Abstract: A resorcinol-modified phenolic resin composition is formed by reacting a basic catalyst, formaldehyde, water and a benzene-ol to form an intermediate composition to which resorcinol is subsequently added to reduce the presence of free formaldehyde. Optionally, an alkanolamine can be combined and reacted with the resorcinol-modified phenolic resin composition to form a resorcinol-alkanolamine-modified phenolic resin composition. The resorcinol-modified phenolic resin and the resorcinol-alkanolamine-modified phenolic resin compositions can be employed to coat abrasive products having a relatively low free formaldehyde content.

Abstract: Consistent updates are made automatically over a wide-area IP network, concurrently with read-only access to the remote copies. A replication control protocol (RCP) is layered over TCP/IP providing the capability for a remote site to replicate and rebroadcast blocks of the remote copy data to specified groups of destinations, as configured in a routing table. A volume multicast layer over RCP provides for multicasting to specified volume extents of the blocks. The blocks are copied at the logical level, so that it does not matter what physical structure is used for storing the remote copies. Save volumes buffer the remote copy data transmitted between the primary or secondary file system volume and the IP network, in order to ensure independence between the replication process, the IP transport method, and the primary file system being replicated.

Abstract: An inspection machine for pressure testing a glass bottle filled with water. A normal test pressurizes the bottle until the pressure reaches an acceptable level. If the bottle bursts or leaks the pressure will not reach the acceptable level. A control monitors the pressure curve and can determine when a bottle bursts. The control can also determine that a leak is present and when the leak happens with “N” successive bottles, the control indicates that there is a maintenance problem.

Bacterial cells comprising the Glu+ phenotype have modified endogenous chromosomal regulatory regions which are operably linked to polynucleotides encoding galactose permeases and glucokinases.
