  • Publication number: 20190218930
Abstract: A bearing arrangement rotatably supports a shaft of an aircraft engine. The bearing arrangement comprises a bearing having rolling elements disposed between inner and outer races. The inner race is affixed to the shaft. A decoupler normally structurally couples the outer race of the bearing to a stator structure of the engine. The decoupler is configured to release the bearing from the stator structure when subject to a predetermined critical load. A bumper is mounted to the stator structure and encircles the bearing. The bumper has a radially inwardly facing surface disposed in close proximity to a radially outer surface of the outer race of the bearing and defines therewith a radial gap to accommodate and constrain an orbiting motion of the rotor about the central axis of the engine after decoupling at the bearing.

  • Patent number: 10356444
Abstract: To preserve backward compatibility with a non-HDR device or service, an HDR picture may be represented using a modulation value and an SDR picture representative of the HDR picture. The modulation value and the SDR picture can then be encoded into the bitstream. At the receiving side, the modulation value and the SDR picture can be decoded. Based on the modulation value, the SDR picture can be mapped to a decoded HDR picture. For a non-HDR device or service, the modulation value information may be discarded and only the SDR picture is decoded. In particular, the modulation value may be implicitly signaled, using quad-tree representation information, intra coding information, inter partition mode information or motion vector residual information.

  • Patent number: 10351390
Abstract: An elevator system may include at least two elevator shafts along with an elevator car with a cab and a chassis device. The cab may be mounted rotatably about a horizontal rotational axis relative to the chassis device. A vertically extending rail, along which the elevator car is movable, may be disposed in each elevator shaft. Each of the rails may include a rotatable segment such that the rotatable segments are alignable with respect to one another so that the elevator car is movable along the segments between the elevator shafts. A first device may lock the cab relative to the chassis device, and a second device may hold the cab relative to the elevator shafts.

  • Patent number: 10356708
Abstract: A method of selecting a cellular network entails determining a current location of a mobile device by obtaining location data from an application on the mobile device, prioritizing cellular network frequency bands based on the current location to define a band priority, and selecting the cellular network based on the band priority. This method expedites selection of the cellular network when a mobile device is powered on, when its cellular radiofrequency transceiver is activated or when returning from an out-of-coverage area.

  • Patent number: 10356111
Abstract: In one embodiment, a device evaluates a set of training data for a machine learning model to identify a missing feature subset in a feature space of the set of training data. The device identifies a plurality of network nodes eligible to initiate an attack on a network to generate the missing feature subset. One or more attack nodes are selected from among the plurality of network nodes. An attack routine is provided to the one or more attack nodes to cause the one or more attack nodes to initiate the attack. An indication that the attack has completed is then received from the one or more attack nodes.

  • Patent number: 10352930
Abstract: The present invention provides an immunoassay leading to the rapid and simultaneous detection of antibodies to a wide range of infectious pathogens in biological fluids of infected patients. This immunoassay involves the covalent and oriented coupling of fusion proteins comprising an AGT enzyme and a viral antigen on an identifiable solid support (e.g. fluorescent microspheres). The thus obtained antigen-coupled microspheres show enhanced capture of specific antibodies as compared to antigen-coupled microspheres produced by standard amine coupling procedures.
