  • Patent number: 9952428
Abstract: The general field of the invention is that of heads-up display systems comprising at least one display and one optical guide comprising a first image guide comprising a plurality of first internal semi-reflecting plates, inclined with respect to a first plane. The heads-up display system according to the invention comprises: an oculometer designed to detect the position of the pupil of the eye of an observer; at least one of the said first plates comprising a processing with programmable reflectivity, the said reflectivity depending on the position and/or of the orientation of the ocular pupil detected by the oculometer, in such a manner as to reflect the image of the display towards the said pupa and only towards the latter. The display system can comprise a second image guide perpendicular to the first.

  • Publication number: 20160131914
Abstract: Visual display systems are described having means for generating stereoscopic images, a device for visual display of said stereoscopic images having a projector and a semitransparent screen; and a pair of stereoscopic spectacles. The projector according to the invention has an imager and an interference filter, the spectral transmission of which has at least one transmission band of determined width centred around a wavelength, said wavelength being dependent on the incidence of the light on said interference filter. The projector has means allowing the angular position of the filter to be varied between two determined positions so as to transmit, according to the position, either a first spectral band or a second spectral band. The pair of stereoscopic spectacles has a first lens transmitting the first spectral band and blocking the second spectral band and a second lens providing the opposite function.

  • Patent number: 9182597
Abstract: The general field of the invention is that of optical guides for collimated images comprising a first and a second image conductor functioning by total reflection, each conductor comprising a plurality of plates that are planar, semi-reflective, mutually parallel and inclined with respect to the plane of the external faces of the image conductors. The two conductors are arranged so as to deliver a collimated image to a large pupil. The optical guide according to the invention comprises an optical beam doubler element having substantially the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped. In its basic version, it comprises four external planar facets, two internal semi-reflective planar mirrors, said mirrors being mutually perpendicular, a planar entrance face intended to receive a collimated image, and an exit face adhesively bonded to the injection section of one of the image conductors. The invention also relates to the whole of the display device associated with this optical guide.

  • Publication number: 20150309309
Abstract: The general field of the invention is that of display devices comprising at least one image projector comprising an image generator, projecting optics and a display screen, the image of said image generator being projected by the projecting optics onto said display screen. The display device according to the invention comprises means allowing the degree of optical transmission and the degree of optical scattering of said display screen to be controlled so as to make it completely transparent or completely scattering, the image being projected only in the latter case.

  • Patent number: 8264621
Abstract: The general technical field of the invention is that of viewing devices mounted on vehicles and comprising a display whose image is reflected by the windscreen of the vehicle, making it possible to superimpose the displayed image on the outside world. One of the major problems with this type of display is that the windscreen gives, by reflection, two non-superimposed doubled images. The basic principle of the invention is that the initial image is such that the combination of the first reflected image and the second image reflected by the windscreen gives a “clean” or “ideal” perceived image without any offsets. To perform this function, an image is generated on the display that comprises, obviously, the “ideal” image, but also a succession of offset images comprising negatives of the “ideal” image so that the resultant sum of the first reflected image and of the second reflected image includes no more than the “ideal” image.

  • Publication number: 20120062491
Abstract: Techniques relating to an interaction device including a touch-sensitive surface and a chassis and making it possible to generate haptic, sound and visual interaction effects. The sound and haptic effects are generated by common structural and electronic means arranged so that the touch-sensitive surface and the chassis behave like a loudspeaker. The techniques also relate to generating interaction effects. The techniques also relate to a visualization device and apply to computers, televisions, telephones, and touch-sensitive tablets, for example. It preferably applies to visualization devices that have a screen with a large diagonal.
