Abstract: A method of forming a bi-injected closure, comprising the steps of: forming a cap with a top plate and a depending sidewall, in a first injection moulding phase using a first mould part, the cap formed so as to include one or more external sealing areas; changing the first mould part for a second mould part, the second mould part sealing against the or each sealing area on the cap; and forming an outer ring around the cap sidewall whilst the second mould part is sealed against the sealing area/s in a second moulding phase.

The base is attachable to a container and the lid is attached or attachable to the base. The closure comprises an internal tamper-evident member comprising a part which is initially spaced from the lid top plate and upon first opening of the closure the part moves to or towards the top plate when the head is in a head down orientation.

The closure comprises: a base (12) connectable to a container neck (1); a lid (14) hingedly connected to the base so as to be movable between a closed position and an open position; and a dispensing member (20). The closure further comprises a tamper-indicating member (5). The tamper-indicating member (5) activates either: upon first opening of the lid (14); or if the base (12) is removed from the neck (1).

The tamper-evident member may be irreversibly moveable between a first position in which part of the member is visible prior to initial opening of the closure and a second position in which the part is masked by the lid so as to be partly hidden from view. Upon initial opening of the closure, the tamper-evident member may be moved from the first position to the second position.

The method comprises the steps of: providing a base; providing a closure with a top plate and a side skirt; applying the closure to the base; and, then after the step of applying, forming a plurality of frangible bridges by slitting the skirt to define a tamper-evident band at the free end of the side skirt. A dispensing fitment for a container is also provided.

Abstract: Tamper-evident closures are known in which the tamper-evidence remains attached to the closures after initial opening. However, the tamper-evidence is not always that clear and therefore it is desirable to produce a closure which more clearly shows it has been initially opened. This may be achieved by having a tamper-evident closure comprising a base, a lid, and a tamper-evident member irreversibly moveable between a first position in which part of the member is visible prior to initial opening of the closure and a second position in which the said part is masked by the lid so as to be partly hidden from view, the tamper-evident member being moved from the first position to the second position upon initial opening of the closure.

Abstract: A closure (20) for a container (10) is provided and includes a base (30) connectable to the mouth of the container (10) and a spout (37). The closure (20) further includes a baffle member (43) which, in use, is disposed in the flow path between the mouth of the container (10) and the spout (37).
