  • Patent number: 11951011
Abstract: A line of joint implant systems includes an implant including a cup to be affixed in one of the elements of the considered joint, defining a smooth inner cavity of substantially hemispherical shape. The implant also includes an insert, mobile within the inner cavity of the fixation cup and having its smooth outer surface intended to cooperate by ball-and-socket joint with the inner cavity, and defining in turn a smooth inner cavity of substantially hemispherical shape. The implant further includes a head or ball, solid with a second element of the joint, of spherical shape, intended to be received in the inner cavity of the mobile insert and to form a second ball-and-socket joint. The ratio of the inner diameter of the inner cavity of the fixation cup to the inner diameter of the inner cavity of the mobile insert is constant, whatever the diameter of the selected ball.

  • Patent number: 9195955
Abstract: Embodiments relate to determining a process outcome based on a computed probability and altering the path of a process instance based on an expediting rule. An aspect includes executing, by a processing device, a process instance in a process diagram, which includes a plurality of process steps. A condition associated with a first process step is identified. An outcome for the first process step is then determined based on a computed probability. Accordingly, the first process step is bypassed and the process instance is branched to a second process step based on an expediting rule. The expediting rule includes the condition and a branching action according to a selected outcome.

  • Publication number: 20130103619
Abstract: A method for forming and using a composite production rule may include compiling, by a computer system, a decision table or a decision tree to generate a composite production rule. The method may also include generating the composite production rule and selecting, by the computer system, an algorithm for compiling the composite production rule. The method may additionally include compiling, by the computer system, the composite production rule into an executable program based on pattern matching of the selected algorithm. The method may further include executing, by the computer system, the composite production rule to provide an output based on the composite production rule.
