  • Patent number: 8998510
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to have a method for aligning the optical axis of an optical fiber with the optical axis of an opto-electronic component and for fastening the optical fiber into the resulting relative position in relation to the opto-electronic component. This method includes the following steps: a slot is cut into a base, an optical fiber is disposed within the slot so that it touches neither the sides nor the bottom, a solidifiable product is deposited onto the optical fiber, a limited polymerization area of the solidifiable product is defined near the opto-electronic component, one part of the solidifiable product is partially solidified so as to allow the optical fiber a limited range of movement, the optical fiber is moved so as to align its optical axis with the optical axis of the opto-electronic component, the solidifiable product is completely solidified so as to fasten the optical fiber within the slot.

  • Patent number: 7933582
Abstract: A telecommunications system includes a personal item held by a user of the system, a first means of communication made available to the user and capable of communicating with the personal item and with a data transfer network, and a second means of communication capable of communicating with the data transfer network and belonging to an interlocutor of the user. The first means of communication may be triggered between a non-transparent operating mode and a transparent operating mode during which it is incapable of acting on data passing through it. The system makes it possible to guarantee the user that the confidential data he may send will not be altered or saved by the first means of communication in view of its illicit use.

  • Publication number: 20050070307
Abstract: The invention concerns a data transmission method for connecting at least a mobile transceiver (MOB) to a communication network (NW) selected among a plurality of such networks (NWi), i=1 to 5. The inventive method is characterized in that it comprises a step of locating and identifying a transceiver (MOB) adapted by its geographical location to communicate with at least two different communication networks (NW1 and NW2), and a step of transmitting to said transceiver (MOB) characteristics particular to the networks which are operational in the site where the transceiver (MOB) has been located. The invention enables to select only the transceivers which are located in zone where several communication networks are operational, so as to send and information to them selectively, thereby not disturbing the other transceivers present in said region.

  • Patent number: 6567673
Abstract: This invention relates to a radio communication terminal, such as for example, a mobile telephone, which has access to a satellite-based communication network. In the course of one and the same communication, the terminal transmits information via an up pathway and receives information via a down pathway. One of the two pathways, up or down, is cellular and the other pathway is satellite-based.

  • Publication number: 20020016155
Abstract: An improved mobile telephone (1) is made. It is improved in the sense that it assesses the SAR, namely the power thermally absorbed by a material representing biological tissues placed against the telephone in conditions of use, and it parametrize its operation according to this rate. Thus, a solution is proposed guaranteeing the user a use of the telephone that is without risk for his health.

  • Publication number: 20010023174
Abstract: The network (30) makes it possible to access exterior transmission networks (20). It is a hierarchical modular network, each pair of modules of different elaborateness (22, 23; 22, 25; 27, 23; 24, 25; 24, 22) being subject to a double upward and downward hierarchy. Each communication module comprises, in order to associate it with at least one other module of the network, a short-range internal interface configured so as to share the short-range medium with the interface of the said other module.
