  • Patent number: 9937564
Abstract: A method for producing a friction bearing or a part, particularly half thereof, is provided. While machining the entire width of an inner surface, both the radial extension and also the advance in the axial direction of at least one tool are changed during machining. A device for machining friction bearings or parts, particularly halves thereof, is also provided. The device has a spindle and at least one cutting tool, the radial extension and advance of which can be changed during machining. In a friction bearing or part, particularly a half thereof, slots or grooves are formed running in the peripheral direction. Abstract: According to a method for producing a friction bearing or a part, particularly half thereof, while machining the entire width of an inner surface both the radial extension and also the advance in the axial direction of at least one tool are changed during machining. A device for machining friction bearings or parts, particularly halves thereof, has a spindle and at least one cutting tool (14), the radial extension and advance of which can be changed during machining. In a friction bearing or part, particularly half thereof, slots or grooves are formed running in the peripheral direction, the depth and centre distance of which are designed to be larger in at least one axial edge area than in an axial central area.

  • Patent number: 7217035
Abstract: The invention relates to a connecting rod-bearing combination comprising a bearing for a small connecting rod eye of a connecting rod which serves to receive a piston pin that supports a piston. The invention also relates to a method for producing a connecting rod-bearing combination of the aforementioned type. The aim of the invention is to be able to exert an influence on the connecting rod-piston combination whereby enabling a fine tuning of the oscillating masses. To this end, the invention provides a connecting rod-bearing combination, which is post-machined in the area of the small connecting rod eye during which material is removed form a mass that corresponds to the difference between the oscillating mass of the connecting rod-bearing combination and a stipulated oscillating mass.

  • Publication number: 20060115192
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for producing bearing shells, according to which blanks are produced from a strip material, whereupon said blanks are transformed into bearing shells and the bearing shells are provided with a lubricating layer. In order to be able to create a mark in an area that is visible once the bearing shell has been mounted, at least one engraved mark is introduced into the interior surface of the blank or the bearing shell within a strip-shaped region located below the partial area before the lubricating layer is applied. The depth and width of said engraved mark are selected such that the contour of the engraved mark is maintained once the lubricating layer has been applied.

  • Patent number: 6540403
Abstract: A piston pin bushing is described which has a sufficient lifespan at higher piston pressures. The piston pin bushing has in each transition region a perforation. The area of material reduction is limited to at least one transition region between the apex lines. The bushing material in this transition region is at least so reduced that in the inserted position a portion of the radial pressure of the piston pin bushing in the area of the apex lines is shifted from the middle to the area of both bushing ends.

  • Patent number: 6231239
Abstract: A bearing bush that can be installed without any auxiliary components and ensures a secure fit has a backing which comprises at least one layer, an overlay (4), on its inner surface and at least one flange (6,6a,6b) in the form of a circumferential closed bead provided at a distance from the bush ends. The bearing bush is suitable, inter alia, for flexible joints and pedal bearing systems. The method of producing such a bush takes as its starting point a prefabricated bearing bush (1), the inner surface of the backing (3) of which is exposed in at least one area (5,5a,5b) spaced from the bush ends. An internal mandrel is inserted into the bearing bush (1) and the bearing bush is held around its outer surface, at least one gap (23) being left opposite to the exposed area (5,5a,5b). The bearing bush is then compressed in the axial direction, the material is thereby displaced into the gap (23,23′) to form the flange (6).
