  • Patent number: 8688424
Abstract: A method of modelling a fractured reservoir having application for petroleum reservoir development is disclosed utilizing a set of several families of equivalent blocks of regular shapes and sizes. The fractured reservoir is modelled by a complex porous medium made up of irregular blocks. A function defining the progress of an imbibition front within these blocks, whose derivative A?(X) is calculated, is determined. A function defining the progress of an imbibition front within regular equivalent blocks, whose derivative A?eq(X) is calculated, is then determined. This derivative, which constitutes at least two line segments with distinct slopes, depends on the dimensions of the equivalent blocks. Finally, the dimensions of the equivalent blocks are obtained by adjusting the two derivatives A?eq(X) and A?(X).

  • Patent number: 4794953
Abstract: A torch device with a torch body having separate ducts for oxygen and combustion gas supply is disclosed, wherein regulating and shut-off valves are provided in the torch body in substantially opposite relationship. A common actuating device for the shut-off valves is adapted for completely closing the shut-off valve for the combustion gas before starting the closing of the shut-off valve for oxygen. All gas ducts inside the torch body are formed by bores extending parallely to each other, while connecting passages are formed by bores extending orthogonally thereto.

  • Patent number: 4784321
Abstract: A flame spray torch which comprises a torch body and a torch head exchangeably connected with each other. Injectors are inserted in recesses of the torch body partly projecting therefrom and extending into recesses of the torch head. Each injector communicates with a respective supply duct for combustion gas and oxidation gas, mixing chambers being provided respectively in each injector and in the torch head, the latter being provided with means to improve the gas mixing. The torque reduces the risk of back-firing and allows the attainment of optimum spraying conditions for a great variety of applications by permitting an easy exchange, particularly with respect to the injectors.

  • Patent number: 4759505
Abstract: A flame spray torch for the manufacturing of surface layers on workpieces by spraying thereon powdered materials is provided. The flame spray torch comprises a torch body with respective conveying ducts for oxygen, for a combustion gas and for a powder-carrier gas mixture, including an outlet opening in the torch body for the powder-carrier gas mixture. The torch also has a powder supply duct extending in the torch body, an insert part in the conveying duct for the powder-carrier gas mixture capable of being inserted therein from the outlet opening, the outlet opening communicating with the powder supply duct. An axial inlet opening is provided in the torch body communicating with the inlet opening of the insert part through an extension duct.

  • Patent number: 4201248
Abstract: This invention relates to an improvement in the method for the single-filling manufacture of double nap fabrics, wherein the filing yarn for face and back fabrics is inserted at the same place into the shed, the improvement comprising superposing an additional lifting motion to the normal motion emanating from a dobby at least for shafts forming the shed of the warp for one of the two fabrics. The invention also relates to a weaving machine for the manufacture of double nap fabrics.
