Abstract: Motor vehicle axle assembly that includes two arms configured to be mounted in an articulated manner to a motor vehicle body. Each of the two arms is coupled to a wheel-bearing knuckle. A crosspiece is coupled to each of the two arms. At least one insert includes at least one elastomer element and at least one bearing. The at least one insert is arranged to at least one of couple at least one end of the cross piece to at least one of the two arms and couple a first part of the cross piece to a second part of the cross piece. Abstract: The invention concerns the production of a mechanical assembly (10) comprising two tubular parts (11, 12) mutually connected, the tubular part (11), called bearer part, forming a housing (13) by means of which the tubular part (12) called borne part, is assembled thereto. The invention is characterised in that the housing (13) formed by the bearer part (11) is cut out in a swaged part (16) of said bearer part (12) wherein two wall zones (151, 152) opposite thereof are at least locally in contact with each other along a mutual butt-jointing zone (17) extending from one to the other of the two planes (P1, P2), which, parallel to each other, are offset relatively to each other along swaging direction (D) of these two wall zones (151, 152). The invention is in particular applicable to motor vehicle suspension arms.

Abstract: An integral tubular metal cradle (1) for a motor vehicle, comprising tubular central portion (2) with two arms (5, 6 or 7,8) extending from each end (3,4) thereof and having a substantially open, semi-tubular cross-section, the arms being at a dihedral angle of less than 180.degree. at the point of connection to the central portion (2). The arms (5,6,7,8) provide a connection both to the vehicle bodywork and to either a front wheel wishbone or the rear axle of the vehicle. A method for making the integral tubular metal cradle is also provided.
