  • Publication number: 20200121282
Abstract: Radiation treatment is delivered to a patient by positioning the patient such that a radiation beam is delivered to a lesion within the patient along a beam-delivery path while securing a diagnostic imaging device about the patient such that the diagnostic imaging device does not intersect the beam-delivery path. Radiation therapy is simultaneously delivered along the beam-delivery path while diagnostic images are obtained using the imaging device.

  • Patent number: 9232976
Abstract: A magnetic drape comprises a drape body made of a flexible material. The drape body has a panel portion having an undersurface adapted to be laid on an uneven body and a top surface, and a given thickness between the undersurface and the top surface. A plurality of magnet units are within the flexible material of the drape body, with each said magnet unit comprising a shielding material in the shape of a cup oriented to have a bottom wall facing toward the undersurface of the drape body, and a magnet received at least partially in the cup. The magnet comprises two or more sections arranged to expose opposite polarity on a top surface of the magnetic drape, with each said section having opposite polarities oriented vertically.

  • Patent number: 8249153
Abstract: A single composite stream of data is streamed to a user's terminal and displayed in two separate viewers. This composite stream embeds a series of substreams that are views of the same event, taken from different point of views. A first viewer, the global viewer, displays the entire composite stream of data, thus displays the n substreams the composite stream may contain. The second viewer, the focus viewer, displays only part of the composite stream in order to display the substream currently selected by the user. While the stream is played back, the user may interact with an external application's user interface to select which of the n embedded streams he wants to be displayed in the focus viewer, thus creating a cut. The series of cuts created by the user is stored internally for playback management. The user may export the series of cuts he created in an editing file (EDL formatted, for instance, without being restricted to) that can be loaded into a professional editing application.

  • Publication number: 20120205510
Abstract: The invention relates to brake systems for telescopic stands, the lugs (11) of which for supporting same in the unfolded position are simultaneously disengaged by pressing the control trigger (3) to achieve unfolding and folding without any untimely locking of said telescopic stands. In the unfolded position of the telescopic stand, the lugs (11) are inserted into the holes (8) of sliding segments (7) by tensioning and movement of a flexible link (15). Pressing the trigger (3) moves the flexible link (15) to the bottom and simultaneously frees the springs (13) which compress the lugs (11) inside inner brackets (9), enabling the sliding and folding of said sliding segments (7). The invention can be specifically used for telescopic stands for video or still cameras, telescopic luggage handles, and telescopic storage devices.

  • Publication number: 20090056721
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a respiratory apparatus that acts as a system for pre-oxygenation of a patient and for the opening of respiratory pathways of a patient. The apparatus includes a mouthpiece having a shield that is inserted in the mouth of the patient. The mouthpiece also includes an outer tubular member for receiving a universal connector which can be connected to an anesthetic device. The shield has an inner side opening which leads to the inside of the tubular member. This opening is configured to receive a connector mounted to a tracheal tube. The tracheal tube is placed within the patient. The universal connector and the tracheal connector are put into mutual fluid communication within the tubular member thereby providing gaseous fluid to flow from the universal connector to the tracheal tube which is in fluid communication with the patient's trachea. The shield also includes teeth abutments or bite members which are to be abutted by the teeth of the patient in order to keep their mouth open.
