  • Patent number: 7415904
Abstract: The invention concerns an electromechanical actuator comprising at least an electric motor (1), as well as coupling (4) and gear reduction (4) means, which drive an output shaft (11). The invention is characterized in that the coupling and gear reduction means mesh with a crank plate (7) designed to be driven in rotation with an angular travel limited by two stops, a small connecting rod (9) being articulated to one end on a crank pin (8) of said crank plate and being articulated at its other end on a long connecting rod (10) which is itself integral with the output shaft, the two ends of said long connecting rod being respectively guided in displacement each along a guide, and the displacement angle between said two stops is more than 180°, the movements of the rod being structurally locked in case of overriding, the crank plate being immediately proximate to one of its travel limit stops.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 20, 2002
Date of Patent: August 26, 2008
    Assignee: Sagem SA

  • Patent number: 6729642
Abstract: A ski boot binding for snowboards includes a base (4) to which a back piece (10) is pivotally mounted. The back piece (10) extends upward from the base and supports the user's ankle. The degree to which the back piece flexes affects an amount of support which it provides to the user's ankle. A reinforcement (22) is mounted on a central part of a rear face (19) of the back piece. The reinforcement is adjustably mounted for vertical movement relative to the back piece to adjust the flexibility of the back piece, hence the amount of rearward ankle support.

  • Patent number: 5204605
Abstract: A position-controlled actuator includes a motor supplied with power by a power supply circuit controlled at least by an error signal. A speed reducer converts rotary movement of the motor into linear movement over a given travel. An output sensor indicates the position of the actuator and an error signal computation circuit compares a commanded position of the actuator to a calculated position. The output sensor supplies a binary position signal taking two different values according to the position of the actuator relative to its mid-travel position.
