  • Patent number: 5223171
Abstract: A detergent composition containing, as a "builder", a graft polysaccharide which consists essentially of a polydextrose having an average-weight molecular mass of less than 10,000 and onto which a water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer is grafted.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 26, 1991
Date of Patent: June 29, 1993
    Assignee: Rhone Poulenc Chimie
    Inventors: Philippe Jost, Florence Tournilhac
  • Patent number: 5064562
Abstract: Stable suspensions of zeolite particulates, in water, well adapted for detergency applications, have a pumpable low viscosity and include an effective viscosity reducing amount of a silicone resin and, advantageously, a suspension stabilizer, e.g., an alkaline earth metal cation or a biogum polysaccharide.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 9, 1990
Date of Patent: November 12, 1991
    Assignee: Rhone-Poulenc Chimie
    Inventors: Philippe Jost, Marc Malassis
  • Patent number: 4992196
Abstract: A sodium tripolyphosphate employed for the formulation of detergent compositions with a water content ranging from 0.8 to 6% in the form of hexahydrate crystals and containing 0.2 to 2% by weight of siliconate. Also, a process for the preparation of such a sodium tripolyphosphate comprising spraying an aqueous solution containing between 5 and 10% of siliconate at weight onto a sodium tripolyphosphate containing at least 50% of phase 1 and having a particle diameter distribution ranging from 600 to 2,500 microns; and grinding the hydrated tripolyphosphate containing the siliconate to a mean particle diameter ranging from 80 to 200 microns.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 18, 1989
Date of Patent: February 12, 1991
    Assignee: Rhone-Poulenc Chimie
    Inventors: Daniel Joubert, Philippe Jost
  • Patent number: 4596680
Abstract: A asymmetrical aryl ether of the formulaX--Ar--O--Ar'--Y,wherein Ar and Ar' are each a divalent aromatic radical, X and Y are electron attracting atoms or groups which differ from each other or have different positions on the corresponding aromatic radicals, is produced by heating together, in the presence of a basic catalyst, equimolecular amounts of two aryl carbonates of the formulas:X--Ar--O--CO--O--Ar--X,andY--Ar'--O--CO--O--Ar'--Y
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 8, 1983
Date of Patent: June 24, 1986
