  • Publication number: 20090258346
Abstract: The present invention relates to the selection of sunflower genotypes with high oleic acid content in seed oil. The invention concerns more particularly molecular markers useful for a rapid and easy selection of sunflower lines and then sunflower hybrids capable of producing seeds having high oleic acid content.

  • Patent number: 5032026
Abstract: Pressure and temperature are sensed with first and second interferometers having beam paths originating at an optical fiber located at a collimating lens focal point. One interferometer includes a deformable membrane having a deformation responsive to the sensed pressure and temperature which cause the membrane position to vary with respect to a face of a glass plate. In the second interferometer the optical path length varies as a function of the sensed temperature. The collimating lens collects optical beams derived from the first and second interferometers and supplies them to the optical fibre. In one embodiment, the interferometers are coaxial and in parallel; in a second embodiment the interferometers are in series.

  • Patent number: 3962905
Abstract: The invention relates to a process and installation for detecting a fluid leak in a pipe sub-divided into sealable sections by a series of isolating valves arranged at each end of a section. As a result of this process and installation all normal pressure fluctuations occurring in the pipe can be followed without starting off the isolating valves but in the case of an accidental leak when the pressure drop exceeds the predetermined threshold value within a predetermined time, the isolating valves in the pipe are reliably actuated.
