  • Publication number: 20100065643
Abstract: Code reading device for receptacles with at least one code marking at a transparent or translucent circumferential wall section, said device comprising an illumination for applying light on said wall section and an image capturer for capturing image information of said code markings. In a device, in order to avoid complicated handling or alignment of said receptacles before or during reading of said code markings, said illumination is adapted to provide light on at least three different light paths extending through said wall section and being relatively spaced such that the associated light incidence positions are disposed circumjacent to said wall section. In a method, light is provided on at least three different light paths being relatively spaced such that the associated light incidence positions are disposed circumjacent to said wall section.

  • Patent number: 7675001
Abstract: A device for depositing a wipe-proof and rub-proof marking or code marking, in particular a two-dimensional matrix or line coding onto glass receptacles such as glass ampoules, glass bottles, vials and likewise, comprises a transport means having a drive, with one or more accommodating devices for objects to be inscribed, a laser system arranged at a distance to the transport means with a laser source for producing a laser light beam of a wavelength <380 nm, said laser light beam in operation being directed onto the transport path and defining an impingement point in the region of at least one accommodating means moved along the transport path, means in order to deflect the laser light beam in a first and in a second direction continuously or in certain incremental intervals, and at least one control unit comprising a memory unit and a microprocessor which is in connection with the laser system and the deflection means, for controlling at least the deflection system and the laser system.

  • Patent number: 6113473
Abstract: A slurry recycle process for use in free-abrasive machining operations such as for wire saws used in wafer slicing of ingots, where the used slurry is separated into kerf-rich and abrasive-rich components, and the abrasive-rich component is reconstituted into a makeup slurry. During the process, the average particle size of the makeup slurry is controlled by monitoring the condition of the kerf and abrasive components and making necessary adjustments to the separating force and dwell time of the separator apparatus. Related pre-separator and post separator treatments, and feedback of one or the other separator slurry output components for mixing with incoming used slurry and recirculation through the separator, provide further effectiveness and additional control points in the process.
