  • Patent number: 11002471
Abstract: The invention relates to a refrigeration installation (1), to a method for same, and to a refrigeration installation system for controlling the temperature of air, including at least one compressor (3), at least one expansion element (39), and at least one first (5) and a second (7) heat exchanger, each of which can be operated as a condenser or a gas cooler, wherein at least one of the heat exchangers can be operated as an evaporator or at least one additional heat exchanger is provided which can be operated as an evaporator. A refrigerant line is equipped with a first valve (11) downstream of at least one compressor (3) at or downstream of a branch (9) and upstream of or at the condenser or gas cooler inlet (15) of the first heat exchanger (5), and a second valve (19) is arranged at or downstream of the condenser or gas cooler outlet (17) of the first heat exchanger (5) and upstream of or as an expansion element.

  • Patent number: 8990835
Abstract: A data distribution system based on the exchange of asynchronous messages in publication/subscription mode, for the exchange of data according to various qualities of service between a transmitter running a data supplying application and one receiver running a data receiving application is disclosed, which transmitter and receiver are interconnected by a communication network, via communication objects. Communication objects provide one programming interface to exchange messages.

  • Patent number: 8865798
Abstract: A self-healing material comprises a matrix embedded with micro-pockets of a healing-agent releasable by a crack in the matrix. The healing-agent is able to bond to the matrix to repair the crack. The healing-agent is contained in microcapsules. A corresponding catalyst for the healing-agent is embedded in the matrix and contained in a plurality of microcapsules as an emulsion. The emulsion comprises an oil, a perfluorated solvent, a hydrophobic ionic liquid, or mixtures thereof. A method of manufacturing the self-healing material comprises the steps of identifying an operational temperature range of the material, providing at least one substance as the healing-agent, which substance remaining substantially in a liquid state within the operational temperature range, identifying an operational evaporation rate of the healing-agent and providing the substance with a curing time according to the evaporation rate.

  • Patent number: 6862614
Abstract: Service applications are provided on multiple types of devices with different execution contexts. A smart card stores the application description, and processes it to install an adapted configuration of the application for whatever device it is inserted in. Smart cards are compatible with many devices, as well as being small, resistant, and tamper-proof. In addition to security features, their processing capacities can be used to at least partially treat the abstract descriptions of the applications in order to produce concrete descriptions adapted to the execution context.
