  • Publication number: 20220380105
Abstract: Described herein are modular packaging structures and corresponding packaging methods. Packaging structures incorporating features of the present disclosure can comprise a base structure, for example a tray comprising a volume, and a backer card, which can be configured to receive one or more objects to be packaged. Differently designed backer cards can be utilized with the same base structure allowing for a modular packaging structure and preventing the need for specialized and specifically tooled trays for different products. The backer cards may interact with the base structures to form multiple compartments. These modular packaging structures allow for a great level of customizability and help mitigate the cost and labor typically required in utilizing multiple specifically tooled thermoform trays.

  • Publication number: 20220304733
Abstract: Described herein are devices and mechanisms for effective and streamlined ratcheting of handheld medical devices, for example, medical ratcheting screwdrivers. In some embodiments, a ratcheting mechanism is included, which comprises a moveable component, which can comprise a plurality of teeth, an engagement component comprising a plurality of protrusions configured to engage with the teeth, and a toggle collar between the moveable component and the engagement component. In some embodiments the toggle collar comprises stops configured to engage the protrusions and configured to toggle the ratcheting mechanism between modes allowing transmission of torque and force in a first rotational direction, but disallowing it in a second rotational direction and a mode allowing transmission of torque and force in the second rotational direction, but disallowing it in the first rotational direction.

  • Publication number: 20070191946
Abstract: A spinal implant device used for the surgical treatment of a spinal disorder. The implant device may be a static device or a dynamic device. In one embodiment, the implant device is constructed of a radiolucent material with attached radiopaque markers. The markers may be constructed of the same radiolucent material and a radiopaque additive. In one embodiment, the implant device is constructed of a carbon nanostructure reinforced polymer. In one embodiment, the implant device has a porous bone interface surface. The pore density of the bone interface surface may vary up to a larger value in areas where the bone interface surface contacts a cortical bone portion of a vertebra.
