  • Patent number: 12006220
Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate generally to the large scale production of functionalized graphene. In some embodiments, a method for producing functionalized graphene includes combining a crystalline graphite with a first electrolyte solution that includes at least one of a metal hydroxide salt, an oxidizer, and a surfactant. The crystalline graphite is then milled in the presence of the first electrolyte solution for a first time period to produce a thinned intermediate material. The thinned intermediate material is combined with a second electrolyte solution that includes a strong oxidizer and at least one of a metal hydroxide salt, a weak oxidizer, and a surfactant. The thinned intermediate material is then milled in the presence of the second electrolyte solution for a second time period to produce functionalized graphene.

  • Patent number: 11898858
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining a set of routes using a graph having nodes and links connecting the nodes. The routes are determined for one or more tokens, and each token is associated with an origin node and a destination node included in the graph and with a token weight. Token constraints, which include at least one constraint relative to the token weight, are received for each token. Candidate routes satisfying at least some of the token constraints are received for each token. Each candidate route includes at least one route link included in the graph and the each route link is associated with a link weight. Shared route links are those route links that share at least two tokens. The candidate routes are filtered based on a condition related to the link weight of each shared route link and to the weights of the tokens sharing the link.

  • Publication number: 20230411742
Abstract: The present technology relates to laminates for lithium-ion batteries comprising at least one cathode layer; at least one anode layer; at least one electrolyte layer disposed between the at least one cathode layer and the at least one anode layer; and a viscosity modifier present on at least a portion of the laminate which limits the penetration of reactive fluids into the laminate and thereby controls the extent of oxidization of the anode, and prevents the formation of dendrites in said laminate. The present technology further relates to methods for preparing such laminates, and lithium-ion batteries comprising same.

  • Publication number: 20230005638
Abstract: Embodiments described herein relate generally to large scale synthesis of thinned graphite and in particular, few layers of graphene sheets and graphene-graphite composites. In some embodiments, a method for producing thinned crystalline graphite from precursor crystalline graphite using wet ball milling processes is disclosed herein. The method includes transferring crystalline graphite into a ball milling vessel that includes a grinding media. A first and a second solvent are transferred into the ball milling vessel and the ball milling vessel is rotated to cause the shearing of layers of the crystalline graphite to produce thinned crystalline graphite.

  • Patent number: 11157501
Abstract: Methods, caches, database systems and computer program products for processing database requests and retrieving results from the cache of a database system. The cache stores a representation of a data space of one or more databases of the database system, including one or more results for any database request for which the data space is able to output a result. In response to receiving a database request from a client, the cache determines by utilizing the stored representation whether the data space is able to output one or more results for the database request. If affirmative, one or more results are returned to the client from the representation of the cache. Otherwise, the cache returns an invalidity notification.
