  • Publication number: 20140257725
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of determining the residual capacity of an electrochemical cell for an electrical energy storage using a no-load voltage model of the cell which is parameterized so that the parameter represents the aging of the cell. Parameterizing the model is achieved from a series of measurements performed on the battery, comprising at least a voltage measurement, a temperature measurement and a current measurement of the cell.

  • Patent number: 8457822
Abstract: A method for controlling a hybrid power unit with power bypass for an automobile including at least two driving wheels, wherein the power unit includes a thermal engine, at least two electric machines, and an infinitely variable transmission mechanically connecting the thermal engine, the two electric machines, and the driving wheels. In the method, an initially stopped thermal engine is brought, in an independent manner and in plural operation phases, to a rotation speed that is sufficient for participating in propulsion of the vehicle, the vehicle moving under action of the electric machines.

  • Patent number: 8018190
Abstract: A method for controlling and monitoring a hybrid vehicle including a driving internal combustion engine, and an electric machine that is operational, upon an instruction, in a form of a driving engine and is powered by a battery. The method detects a vehicle operating state, in transmitting, in response, an operating instruction to the electric machine only, without requesting any particular instruction from the internal combustion engine and respecting the vehicle stability constraint and a protecting constraint of the electric components thereof.

  • Publication number: 20110115457
Abstract: A method of controlling a switched-mode power supply and corresponding power supply including a switching cell including two series-connected configurable on/off switches; in which the switching cell is configured cyclically: for a duration T1, in an on state, in which a first on/off switch is closed and the second on/off switch is open; and, for a duration T2, in an off state, in which the second on/off switch is closed and the first on/off switch is open. The switching cell is also configured in a transition state, in which the first on/off switch and the second on/off switch are open: for a duration Tm1 between the off state and the on state; and for a duration Tm2 between the on state and the off state; and the durations T1 and/or T2 of the on and off states are determined according to the durations Tm1 and/or Tm2, respectively, of the transition states.

  • Publication number: 20110100739
Abstract: A control system for a hybrid propulsion group with power bypass for an automobile including at least two driving wheels. The system includes a thermal engine, a battery, a braking system for the driving wheels, a mechanism detecting a condition of the braking system, and an infinitely variable transmission including at least two electric machines and at least two epicyclic gear chains. The thermal engine is mechanically connected with the infinitely variable transmission via a first epicyclic gear chain, the infinitely variable transmission being mechanically connected to the driving wheels via a second epicyclic gear chain. The control system is capable of controlling the thermal engine and the two electric machines so that torque supplied by the thermal engine is converted into energy by the two electric machines used as generators for recharging the battery after receiving a signal from the mechanism detecting the condition of the braking system indicating the braking system is activated.
