  • Publication number: 20120165870
Abstract: The invention relates to an implant assembly for bone fixation, and particularly for stabilizing the vertebral column, including a plate (P) provided with at least two openings and at least two anchoring means (V) that can be positioned in said openings and be attached to the bone portions to be stabilized, and blocking means for preventing said anchoring means (V) from being accidentally released from said openings. Said blocking means include a shoulder (7) arranged on each anchoring means (V), and a non-return lip (L) which is arranged inside each opening, is integral with said plate (P), and can be deformed so as to be cleared by said shoulder (7) during the positioning of the anchoring means (V), and then prevent the extraction of the anchoring means (V) by forming an abutment against said shoulder (7).

  • Publication number: 20120089231
Abstract: The invention relates to an intervertebral implant (1) designed to be placed in an intervertebral space by 90° pivoting and without preliminary spacing of the vertebrae, that comprises two bearing surfaces (7a, 7b) adapted for interacting with the lower or upper portions of the vertebral bodies on the one hand, and two side surfaces (3a, 3b) substantially perpendicular to the bearing surfaces (7a, 7b) on the other hand. The implant is characterized in that it is elastically deformable so as to be deformed from a placing configuration in which the two side surfaces (3a, 3b) are close to each other into a service configuration in which the two side surfaces (3a, 3b) are spaced apart from each other, and in that it comprises a threaded opening (17) capable of interacting with a tool for pivoting the implant by 90° and troughs (15a, 15b) formed lengthwise in the side surfaces (3a, 3b) and adapted for receiving the blades of said tool for moving the implant from one configuration to the other.
