Patent number: 11727443Abstract: Disclosed is a technique for passively monitoring the number of guests in a rental property. Mobile device broadcasts intended for connecting the device to a wireless network contain information about that device. This information includes unique identifiers such as MAC addresses. Detecting these broadcasts and filtering out those devices that are expected enables a property owner to have a semi-accurate number of guests within their property without actually being at the property, or visibly observing the guests in an obtrusive fashion. Guests are able to enjoy themselves in privacy and the property owner is able to monitor the safety of their property.Type: GrantFiled: October 7, 2021Date of Patent: August 15, 2023Assignee: BLUEZOO, INC.Inventors: Jan Willem Korver, Thomas Sandholm, Philippe Rene Morin, Thibault de Lacheze-Murel, Guillaume Tenant de la Tour, Paul-Ambroise Augustin Duquenne, Jerome Lejeune, Amanda Mills, Thuong Ho, Hang Ung

Publication number: 20190028849Abstract: Disclosed herein is a technique to improve the processing of people counting systems. The technique involves the use of a system that counts the local number of wireless/mobile devices via machine identifiers. When the counting device scrapes the machine identifier from a mobile device, the identifier is hashed using a one-way hash function. The hash code corresponds to a bit location on a bitmap. The location in the bitmap is checked. If the bit is already marked full, the mobile device has been previously detected, if the pixel location is empty, this is a new device. Thus, a single bit represents each machine identifier. The number of unique people in a monitored location is the number of full bits in the bitmap.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 24, 2018Publication date: January 24, 2019Inventors: Thomas Sandholm, Hang Ung, Philippe René Morin

Publication number: 20190026492Abstract: Disclosed herein is a technique to mask personally identifying information (PII) in a people counting system. A sensor that capable of identifying individual mobile devices, such as smart phones, counts people in a given area. Once identified, information that identifies given mobile devices is hashed. The hashed data is used with a filter to determine recurrence of individuals without actually storing any information specifically about those individuals. In order to determine the count of people externally from the sensor, the hashed data is analyzed for cardinality.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 3, 2017Publication date: January 24, 2019Inventors: Thomas Sandholm, Hang Ung, Philippe René Morin

Patent number: 10003492Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for managing data related to network elements in a telecommunications network. In an embodiment, a document containing data related to one or more of the network elements is received. The document is associated with a corresponding source provider, a location, a receipt timestamp indicating the time and date that the data was received, and a creation timestamp indicating the time and date that the data was created. A document class is then detected for the received document, and an intermediate representation of the document is generated that includes a plurality of key-value pairs. The intermediate representation is parsed to identify relevant values that correlate to a network model that includes a plurality of network entities representing types of network elements in the telecommunications network. Finally, the identified values are normalized according to the network model and written to a networking database.Type: GrantFiled: February 24, 2015Date of Patent: June 19, 2018Assignee: CENX, INC.Inventors: Andrew Brown, Philippe Rene, Eric Soutar, Peyo Tzolov, Achint Sandhu

Patent number: 8683689Abstract: A method for manufacturing a hollow blade for a turbomachine is disclosed in which the blade is manufactured using a preform derived from external primary parts. A primary part including a root portion is formed by upset forging a bar in which material has been forced into a large volume area. Finish forging is done in at least two complementary stamping operations using an intermediate blank in order to limit costs and to use mechanical presses even for large and thin primary parts. Dies for forging the primary part are defined so as to double up at least the forging capacity of a press.Type: GrantFiled: August 22, 2005Date of Patent: April 1, 2014Assignee: SNECMAInventors: Christine Deron, Alain Georges Henri Rene Lorieux, Philippe Rene Georges Joffroy, Jean-Louis Paul Victor Despreaux

Patent number: 6394123Abstract: A reservoir for a liquid circuit has a partition dividing it into an upper chamber and a bottom chamber from which liquid is drawn via an outlet conduit. An inlet conduit for returning liquid to the reservoir opens into a deaerator which is mounted on the partition so that the liquid is returned into the bottom chamber and the separated gas is discharged through a degassing orifice which opens into the upper chamber. The deaerator is provided with a valve which closes the degassing orifice when the reservoir is inverted or subjected or negative gravity, thus ensuring the continuing supply of liquid to the circuit under all operating conditions.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2000Date of Patent: May 28, 2002Assignee: Techspace AeroInventors: Philippe René Oswald Menu, Alain Pascal Jacques Hemmer, Albert René Maurice Joseph Cornet

Patent number: 5830872Abstract: Esters associating phenylacetic, 3-phenylpropionic, 4-phenylbutyric and n-butyric acids with Su(OH).sub.n monosaccharides or sugar alcohols, of general formula (I), in which the Su(OH).sub.n precursor is a monosaccharide or sugar alcohol, selected so that its structure or that of its derivatives ensures that internal interesterification does not take place either because the ester based on the general formula does not have a free hydroxyl grouping, or because with regard to the ester grouping, the free hydroxyl groupings are remotely located and/or badly aligned and/or bonded to a secondary carbon atom, and in which the Su(OH).sub.n monosaccharide or sugar alcohol is preferably D-mannose carrying the ester grouping on the anomeric carbon atom or else is a pentitol, for example, xylitol carrying the ester grouping on the C-1 primary carbon atom. These novel esters are useful as drugs, in particular in the treatment of haemoglobin diseases and premalignant or malignant tumours.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 1997Date of Patent: November 3, 1998Assignee: L'Associazione di volontariato "Pro La Fondazione Futuro Senza Thalassemia"Inventors: Pierre Jean Baldwin, Olivier Claude Eric Douillet, Philippe Rene Michel Pouillart, Gino Lino Ronco, Pierre Joseph Villa
