  • Patent number: 10940846
Abstract: An electromechanical brake assist system driven by an electric motor cooperating with a master cylinder and having, along the axis of actuation, a helper piston in the shape of an axial sleeve solidly connected with a guide bracket and having a threaded surface. A nut, fixed in translation but free to rotate, has interior threads that complement those of the helper piston, which it receives, and exterior teeth that cooperate with the drive motor. A plunger piston carries a drive base so it can be pushed by the piston. Its other extremity is connected to the control rod, formed from a body and a head. The body has a crimping area and the head has a sleeve with an extremity that can be crimped along the crimping area.

  • Patent number: 10493969
Abstract: A brake assist system comprising an intermediate spring combined with a compression thrust bearing, limiting the compression to a force greater than the response of the brake pedal under normal operating conditions. The spring and its compression thrust bearing are placed between the plunger piston (2) and the helper piston so that the spring transmits the thrust from the helper piston to the plunger piston that pulls the pedal under normal braking conditions. The helper piston pushes the plunger piston by way of the compression thrust bearing when the response of the plunger piston exceeds the compression threshold. A contact detector detects the contact between the helper piston and the thrust bearing.

  • Patent number: 9948585
Abstract: A message processing device with a split-architecture is described that allows for flexible control over data flow while enabling optimal processing based on available system resources. In one particular example, messages are processed in two stages prior to transmission to a destination. A cursory evaluation of each message determines whether a deeper level of processing is to be performed using additional resources. Then, messages capable of transmission with no perceivable delay may be transmitted directly, whereas messages to be processed using greater resources are directed to a workflow pipeline engine for more expensive processing at a later stage. The result is a low latency system allowing for efficient resource management, whose architecture is scalable and readily extendible, for example, to increase resources available during periods of high data flow.

  • Patent number: 9754217
Abstract: A data leak protection system and methods thereof are described that identify and analyze a digital fingerprint for a data package, the digital fingerprint characterizing the data package based on a corpus of data within the data package. In one embodiment, an asset descriptor is configured to identify one or more assets within the corpus of data while a contextual analyzer frames the one or more assets into the prevailing contextual environment. Then, a domain identifier further identifies a data perimeter based on the assets identified for the prevailing contextual environment. A comparison of the digital fingerprint to a collection of domain specific identifiers allows further actions responsive to a digital fingerprint falling outside of the data perimeter for an identified contextual environment. In one example, a data leak triggers quarantining of the data package for further manual processing.

  • Patent number: 9505390
Abstract: A brake-assist device for a motor vehicle having a servomotor is described. A servomotor has a plunger piston, a moving part, and an arrangement to move the moving part into position with respect to the plunger piston. The servomotor is actuated by a control rod. The control rod has a first end that presses upon the plunger piston and a second end to receive a force exerted by a brake pedal intended to be moved by a driver of the vehicle. The servomotor includes a sensor interposed in a contact space between the plunger piston and the moving part. A spring is compressed between the plunger piston and the moving part. The servomotor includes an arrangement for displacing the plunger piston in the contact space based on the driving mode. A stiffness of the spring is sufficiently high for an onset of braking to occur only with a striking force that is significantly higher during a reactive driving mode than it is during a calm driving mode.

  • Patent number: 9381900
Abstract: An electric brake booster includes an electric motor activating a booster piston acting on the master-cylinder during brake pedal activation. The booster piston is driven in the direction of the action of same on the master-cylinder by an electric motor linked to a mechanical transmission that includes a screw held by the motor shaft. The screw meshes with two symmetrical worm gears that are integral with respective transmission shafts housed in a bearing of the body of the brake booster. The two shafts each carry a spur gear that meshes with a rack of the booster piston. The shafts are free in translation relative to the screw and to the body of the electric brake booster but are integral with each other in the translational movement of same. The shafts are integrally connected in translation by a coupling member formed by a crosspiece carrying two rotation bearings.

  • Patent number: 9266508
Abstract: The system includes a high-pressure accumulator connected to the primary chamber of the master cylinder and to the inlet of the ESP module by a solenoid valve. The connection between the primary chamber and the brake fluid reservoir is equipped with a solenoid valve. A control circuit controls the solenoid valve of the reservoir and the solenoid valve of the accumulator, depending on the braking method selected or imposed. The dynamic braking phase is broken down into two tasks, one with energy recovery that involves isolating the master cylinder from the wheel brakes until deceleration to a threshold speed, followed by another step until full stop that involves connecting the primary chamber alone to the high-pressure accumulator and to the ESP module to provide the latter with pressurized brake fluid from the accumulator and supply the wheel brakes for mechanical braking.

  • Patent number: 9230039
Abstract: Information streams are integrated with context information objects and processing instruction objects. The integrated information streams are received by a solution manifold and transformed in accordance with the context information objects, the instruction objects, and logic inherent in the solution manifold. The transformed information is then viewed by a client of the solution manifold. The client may also impose different transformation rules and context information on the transformed information and return those transformation rules and context information to the solution manifold to revised the manner in which integrated data is subsequently transformed. Additionally, the solution manifold logic may be overruled by the instruction objects and/or updated by the instruction objects.

  • Patent number: 9162661
Abstract: A brake system is described with a master cylinder actuated by a control rod connected to a plunger piston and an actuator piston acting directly on the primary piston. A hydraulic reaction piston is housed in the piston so it can be subjected to the pressure of the primary chamber and to the opposing action of a reaction spring. The plunger piston can push the reaction piston directly to push the master cylinder.

  • Patent number: 8793994
Abstract: In order to address a problem with the effectiveness of a brake booster device, provision is made for the latter to be produced in the form of hydraulic servo control. In such an instance, a master cylinder (7-10) of a braking circuit (3-4) is provided with a pressure chamber (19) upstream of the braking circuit. This pressure chamber is then subjected to an injection (28) of hydraulic fluid by a pump (34). The pump is operated (39) according to the braking requirements. The servo control comprises a set of moving gear (54) sensitive to these requirements and that work an injection valve (29-30).
